So you want to get a ranger to tow your backhoe for work, and your main concern is color and if it has heated seats? What does your backhoe and trailer weigh? You should probably get a bigger truck if your doing this commercially.

6200 fully loaded and I pull it a whopping 17 miles. I’ve been without a vehicle for a month now and have been driving it down the road as needed. No desire to go any bigger right now.

If you are going to have to install helper bags in the rear, maybe we need to know more about the weight of what you are towing/hauling with it. Sounds like you need a full size just based on the helper bag comment alone.

One day I had 1300 pounds tongue weight with my single axle trailer and as soon as I started it, the air kicked on and brought the rear right to how it sat normally.

One day I had 1300 pounds tongue weight with my single axle trailer and as soon as I started it, the air kicked on and brought the rear right to how it sat normally.

this was the worst load I brought home, due to the size and weight of the tractor being on the smallest trailer it could possibly fit on. When I went to move the trailer a few days later with another machine, the loader struggled to pick the hitch up, putting it at over 1100 pounds, more than likely 1200-1300. I don’t have a picture of my backhoe on the tandem axle trailer, but the trailer is 4 feet longer, giving me room to move the tractor around to adjust for tongue weight

Mercy, that 3500lb trailer axle was probably sweating a bit. Yeah, on a tandem axle you should be good to go with that tractor.

Just custom order. I would skip the fx4 and just get the stand-alone rear locking differential. This way you can get a color you want. The only demelia I see is the wait time will be 3-5 months for custom order. Also factory tow is worth it for the 7 pin and integrated tow receiver. It's only a 500$ option. XLT 302a is what you want to get heated seats

I ended up getting a carbonized gray extended cab sport. Power heated seats, towing package, no diff lock. Fishing season for me opens may 2nd and I didn’t want to wait until the 11th hour. I got one hell of a deal from a very small dealer who special ordered this, the buyer died and the deposit for forfeited. I got it for 2700 under sticker and I couldn’t be happier. Luckily that leaves me some change for things like husky mats and mud flaps, steps, bed liner and maybe a cap. Plus the other things I’ve mentioned previously.
