The 2023 Ford Ranger has advantages over the 2023 Toyota Tacoma for performance, towing, an all-new design, and gas mileage. These are key reasons for pickup truck shoppers to buy a 2023 Ranger instead of a 2023 Tacoma.

Does not look like very big changes were made from MY22 to MY23, but still better than a Taco!

Not really digging the front end of the 2023 Ranger. It looks like they just slapped a cheesy plastic push bar cover over the bumper and grill. Kinda like a kid with Legos that keeps adding stuff till it's just a tad too much. Oh sure it looks good to him, to me though? Not so much.

But then the NA version will almost certainly look very different than this one and chances are I won't own one so my opinion is worthless.

Talk about subjective fanboism.

They go on to talk about advantage being the bolder look.

If by bold you mean ugly homogenized look among the other Ford line-up, yea ok.
You know TBH Anti-fanboyism is just as annoying as fanboyinsm..
I can see both sides of those points of view, man, am I annoyed... :)

Toyota tax, too low and uncomfortable drivers seat for those over 6' tall, uncompetitive motor/transmission and MPGs compared to Ford.. those are the reasons I excluded the Tacoma from consideration.

Seems the Frontier is a nice truck, though I haven't sat in one or drove it but they get good marks it seems. Colorado seems questionable but who knows about their refresh this coming year. Might be a competitor. Jeep Gladiator? No thanks. My new Ranger build date is this coming week, 8/22 so I'll be locked into a Ranger for quite a while.

It's a Ford. An American company.
It's a Ford Ranger. One of the most American-built vehicles in the world.

The other is definitely not.

You can call me a homer, but... that's enough of a reason for me.
