I believe that the basic Ranger has an "AUX" input jack but anything above that does not (SYNC). So, how (or what do I need) to play my CDs in the Ranger?

I'd rip them to MP3s and play them from your phone via bluetooth. Save a lot of space on CDs. And a CD Player.

I am OLD
Any suggestions how I "Rip" them to my phone (Android, Pixel2)? I do have "Android Auto" on my phone. Does that help any?

I'll find a CD (yeah, it's that bad) and see if I can take some screenshots of how to rip them.

EDIT: Nevermind, This should do for the first part.

As for moving it to your phone, you just plug it into the PC, and drag the newly created MP3's to the phones Music folder.

If you have a home computer with a CD slot and a USB port you can likely load a flash drive with several CDs, then play them through the port in your truck.
I also have a BlueTooth bicycle horn with a 32G card which holds music and I can play it via bluetooth through my TC's radio (don't have a truck yet its only the fifth month of waiting)
I'm officially OLD as well.

Thank you.
I am an "old dog" learning new tricks :)
I'm pretty old too, but Google and YouTube are great for learning new tricks.... :)

Putting the ripped files on a flash drive and plugging into the USB port on the truck is another option (as stated above). I had not thought about that. Once you've ripped the CDs you'll wonder why you ever had the CDs - you can put SO MUCH MUSIC on a flash drive it is crazy.

I have 2 flash/thumb drives plugged in the 2 USB slots on my ranger. On drive is called Albums and One is called Singles. I ripped my entire CD collection a few years back to a hard drive on the PC. So I transferred the album folders to my Album flash drive and just put a ton of singles on my Singles flash drive. Works great!

I went thru the trouble of converting some of my old vinyl to MP3s several years ago - makes it way more convenient. Had to pull my old turntable out of storage to do that!

I have some old VHS tapes I need to convert to digital formats too. Digital formats are great - just make sure you have at least one backup of the files - that is the downside - they are compact, but can disappear in a blink of an eye!

I have about 500 vinyl albums in mint condition. Still have 2 tall racks of Pioneer, Yamaha and Akai rack mounted gear with 2 Pioneer reel-to-reels in my study...lol! Been a music buff all my life, Right now I have about 10,000 songs on those 2 flash drives in the Ranger and can easily add to it. If it was Billboard Top 40 from 1955 to 1985, I probably have it...lol!

As opposed to degrading beyond recovery over time, and right under your nose :). The best thing is that if you own it, you can easily source a new format, at least if SOMEONE has it still.

Basic question: how should the thumb drive be formatted? I use a Mac system exclusively, but can format the drive and convert files to any type needed. Thanks -
