Thank you, I appreciate the compliment. Its always amazing how sometimes I take an image and look at it later and wonder what i was thinking, and other times shots I never thought twice of look great when i look back later. Its always a surprise in the end.

I can relate to a degree. Wife is an artist and I take tons of picutres, most are little Ones and Zeros that drain out of the computer after download, but one in a while (Even a blind squirrel finds a nut!) she says...."I must paint this" Not that exact photo but in her own way. Here is her "Twisted Misquite" Done on two 24" x 36" canvases.

Not a terribly good picture, since it's just with my phone on a rocking boat. But went out in the harbor and out into Lake Superior yesterday on a beautiful summer day. Went right up close to a couple salties and lake freighters. Pretty cool to see them from that perspective.

the skateboarder was shot with a Canon AE-1 using Kodak T-Max.
everthing else was with either a 30D or my 7D.

Not sure if this goes here, but we found this garden snake in our front yard the other day. I haven't seen one since I was a kid. We put it in our grandson's terrarium and turned it loose the next day. I absolutely do not like snakes. BUT, I thought this one was beautiful.

Hi Folks,

From one of our 5 trips to Glacier National Park. This was quite an adventure on just this one visit.

Sharing the trail with a Mountain Goat.

Sharing the trail with momma and yearling Grizzly Bear....Yikes! We were in her hands! No where to go but to freeze and hope for the best. Margie was behind me if she attacked me told her to run like the wind and do not worry about me...Yeah right!

After all of that...share the Highline Trail with Big Horn sheep!

BTW...these were shot with a 50mm lens on my Cannon Rebel... Not telephotos...

Stopped by Shoshone Falls (map) today, and grabbed a few shots. It's truly amazing what a cell phone camera can do these days. More and more often I'm leaving my DSLR at home....
