I have a 2022 Lariat and looking at tuners. They are asking for the pcu/ecm code. They were easy to find in older year rangers but where is it located on a 22?

That was kind of what I was thinking. I was hoping I didn't have to pull the fuse box but might end up having to do that.Based on where the bulk of the wiring is routed, it looks like it is under the fuse box behind the battery.
In the past, I've seen vendors send the handheld device and you read the strategy info with that and provide them the info. Then they e-mail you the files to load on the handheld. That was kind of what I was thinking. I was hoping I didn't have to pull the fuse box but might end up having to do that.
I think you may have gotten the letters mixed up. It should be ECU / PCM. This is provided by the tuner when you download the factory tune to the Livernois tuner, after you purchase it. I am not sure how 5 Star works, or even if this info is accessible some other way.5 star. But I haven't made a choice yet on who to go with.
As previously mentioned, I went with Livernois and could not be happier. Their device connects flawlessly with the app on the PC and autmatically uploads your VIN and required info. You click a link and a tune request comes up and you enter what you want within a day or two you get an email saying your tunes are ready, you connect the device to the PC and it automatically downloads the tunes. Follow the instructions when connecting to your truck, pick the desired tune and let it rip. It's pretty simple. And their customer service is great if want to tweak something.Wasn't set on anyone yet. Who are some reputable options?
Well there we have it, finally you said something I am going to call bullshit on.Might want to research 5 Star before going with them.
There are other MUCH better options out there.
I wouldn't let 5 star within 20' of my truck.
