Did anyone successfully remove the parking sensor trim ring? I prefer to paint them separately so down the road if the ring shifts I wont get a silver smile showing.
I did it two years ago. I don't remember it being difficult. Just some tabs that release them.

The sensors were easy. I needed to look at the trim rings in better light ?

Anyone know what the part number is for the clips that hold on the valance? The little teeth looking guys? I’d like to get some new ones. Thanks

I need to darken my valence too.
But first, a few questions --
Are Plasti Dip and dipyourcar.com the same product?
How many cans do I need for the recommended 5-6 coats?
Add glossifier to make bug removal and waxing easier?
What color would be best to match my 2021 Sport Pkg in Carbonized Grey with the charcoal-ish bumper?
Just black?

Thanks

Hey Tony,

Thank you for the compliments. I ordered the part through the Ford dealer. I had a hard time finding the right valance with front sensors AND tow hook cutouts in an online search. The part was $140.00 at the dealer.

Yes, I painted the sensor parts myself using SEM 39143 Trim Black spray paint. When the parts dried they matched almost perfectly. See Hot Pepper Red Zeppelin's post above. He is showing photos of painting the sensors that I did not take or show.
Do you remember the Ford part number for the valance?

I can confirm after initially telling everyone NOT to plasti-dip the sensors when plasti-dipping bumpers/valence but having now tested it they can be painted no problem and sensors continue to work exactly the same.
So did you do a bunch of coats with the sensors taped up, then later did a light coat with the sensors uncovered? I'm just wondering if I can get away with multiple coats over the sensors.

Finally plastidipped mine since we're having the last warm weather this year most likely. Goodbye out-of-place silver bar. Turned out ok, some peeling at the top but not noticeable from a few feet away. 7 coats with one can and had enough left over to give some old pliers a new handle. Since I spent the better part of a day staring at it I'm thinking of getting that putco grill insert now.

 Thanks, we would have to do some major shuffling. I am out of room. That is my barn in the picture. It used to be home to a couple of horses, but it is a work shop, vehicle and lawn equipment place now. And I have added my winter project. When bad weather is forecast I can get every thing under roof, if every thing is placed just right. Too big and drafty to heat but it is bound to be warmer here than in Toronto.;)
