I disassembled my vents and had them repainted. I’m pretty happy with how they turned out.

They look fantastic! Was it pretty straightforward to remove them? I'm a nervous Nellie if it comes to plastic parts - I'd love to change out my XL part to one that says SOUPIE! =D

Me after any trim work:

It was pretty easy, RTR vehicles has a great video on removing them. Soft pry too and a little tape…. Popped right out. Once off I used a small butane torch to soften the plastic welds while gently pulling everything apart. After painting it all went back together easily. I melted the tabs back together with a soldering iron. I own a plastic welder but I didn’t see a need for this.

Yikes, a pry tool AND tape?!? Then a butane torch! And then a soldering iron!

Well, that made me change my plans. =(

I think I'll do this instead:

Those look nice, but I think you should do something to highlight 'Lariat".

I’d rather it not say anything. Same with the Ranger text, it says Ranger 5 times on the outside of the truck alone. At least it only says Lariat twice but I still wouldn’t mind having no words.

Friday yet?

Just proves you secretly know blue is the best. It's velocity blue with the red accent.

I would like to change mine also. But to some imaginary performance package like Shelby or SVO/SVT. Then matching bed decals to replace the long removed 4X4 ones, real enough to make people wonder.

This looks amazing.

Where did you order the oem paint?

How did you paint them? Sprayer? Professionally done?
