I've been checking out IKamper - seems interesting. Does that shell (as shown in second picture) stays on 24/7? Or do you remove it to store somewhere if you're currently not camping.

Nice setup! How's the suspension feel with the SmartCap on? I have the same cap. Planning on ordering the suspension upgrade this week.
@FXranger4
No difference with SmartCap. I had the truck bed loaded with camping gear, SmartCap with rooftop tent …..and the suspension was perfect. Did about 3000km around Gaspe, Quebec.

The top stays on all the time. It is integral to the tent. When not camping I will just take it off the truck and store the whole setup on a shelf in my garage.

Great setup! That is exactly that what i am about after ages of searching. Still i am not sure about the cab&tent or a at overland atlas all in one solution. Are u happy with the smart cab? I heard about issues with a leaking roof…

great wheel solution, too! And there is no rubbing with the factory suspension height? Or do the fox have a lift included? Do u think there would be issues with 2x 30mm track plates?

One of the things I found interesting when looking at the Smartcap is that the Ranger is the only truck where they use brackets mounted to the inside of the bedwalls instead of clamps attaching it to bedrail tops. I think this says something about the strength of those tops, which makes you wonder how many people will start seeing issues with rack systems that are putting all their weight on top of them.

maybe that is because it is dismountable… or because of the flimsy bedrail of the ranger… but the design is the best u can buy, i think… still not shure if i should?

Very nice setup. I eventually want to get the RSI cap. I'll probably end up with a hard shell RTT from FSR or CVT. I want a lower profile shell. Your setup looks great though!

Awesome! Glad to hear it. Looking forward to a bit less bounce in mine.

Very nice setup. I'm really liking how low profile your ikamper is mounted. I have a bed rack currently with my ikamper but have decided to order a smartcap. Can you please share what hardware you used & how you secured it (pics if any)?

Thank you,
