Unfortunately ....I screwed up on the thread title...not sure how to edit it...
Picked up a 2021 Lariat FX4 a week and half ago.
I had been looking at Tremors but decided to go with a Lariat FX4 and customize it.
Step 1 - Suspension
- bought a Fox 2.0 tuned suspension as part of the Lariat purchase
- installed the Fox 2.0 with the help of a buddy
- installation was fairly easy if you followed the Ford performance instructions (and loosened the axle nut)
Step 2 - tires
- sticking with the original 18 inch wheels
- after the Fox 2.0 upgrade went with a set of Cooper AT3 XLT in a 265/70/18
- truck as leveled out nicely and I like the stance
- drives nice and comfortable - a little stiffer ride
Step 3 - Smart Cap installation
- after some research decided on a Smart Cap EVO adventure
- stainless steel construction
- ready for roof racks and RTT
