I figure this may help a few people when finalizing their ranger purchase. I looked up several of the online ESP providers and compared prices.

I quoted a 7x100 PremiumCare with a $200 deductible. Here are the prices I found. I also quoted several other ones, but they were significantly higher, so I didn't bother recording them. If you are buying a different deductible or mileage, it may make sense to quote at all of them.

Lighting - This covers all LED and bulb lighting in the truck. I am ordering a Lariat, so I want the expensive headlights covered.
Key - This covers replacement or reprogramming for a lost or damaged smart key.

Flood Ford and Anderson Koch appear to have the lowest pricing. If anyone finds another one cheaper, let us know.

My plan will be to buy it at purchase if my dealer can match, if not, I will just order it online.

Flood Ford

Contract - $1000
Lighting - $75
Key - $70
Total - $1145

Lombard Ford
https://www.lombardfordwarrantys.com
Contract - $1133
Lighting - $90
Key - $95
Total - $1318

Anderson Koch
https://andersonandkoch-ford-warranty.com
Contract - $1000
Lighting - $75
Key - $70
Total - $1145

Troy Ford

Contract - $1150
Lighting - $100
Key - $100
Total - $1350

I didn't see the duration of the plan you were getting quotes on

Personally I’m going to buy an ESP through Flood Ford, not just because it’s the cheapest, but because you can also bundle in a Premium Maintenance plan.

That way I don’t have to pay out of pocket for warranty repairs or scheduled maintenance.

Here's a quick spreadsheet I created to illustrate why prepaying for scheduled maintenance on your 2019 Ranger might make sense. I selected a 8 year and 100K mile prepaid maintenance plan for the test.

Keep in mind I fudged the numbers for the "a la carte" column, but it's still true that service at any Ford dealership is pricey.

$90 to rotate tires? Really? Les Schwab here will usually do it for free. Even so, it seems kind of expensive for a 10 minute job. But you are right, stuff at the dealer is pretty pricey....

Oil change with tire rotation around here runs about $50 to $60. Oil change only at independent tire shop runs about $30. Cabin air filter is under $20 and easy to change yourself in most cars. Doing your own oil changes saves even more. However, if you don't do any maintenance yourself, then a prepaid plan might be wise, especially if it helps avoid the inevitable inflation of prices over the years.

Your own experience may vary, here in CA where everything is $$$, the prepaid route makes more sense.

$89 is for Rotate and Balance, which of course, is going to cost more than simple rotation.
I agree it's extortion what Ford charges, since Costco will do it for $25.99 or Jiffy Lube $29.99.

Personally I wouldn't prepay for scheduled maintenance, but it's an option for some people.

Also you might want to keep Rangers standard warranty in mind:
  • 3YR/36,000 BUMPER / BUMPER
  • 5YR/60,000 POWER TRAIN
  • 5YR/60,000 ROADSIDE ASSIST
