Before this one came out I bought an aluminum 1.5 ton harbor freight jack and a kit to convert it to off road style. Worked good when the cam sensor went out on the 4 runner in the sticks.
my other harbor freight jack, 4 ton, one of the plungers has started sticking in the down position. Not sure what’s up with that thing.

I need to get a good off road Jack. I do like the bottle jacks best. Thanks for all the information!

And a quick plug for the best jackstands I've ever used.

I bought mine a few years ago when they were $40 each.

Incredibly convenient.

I have one these as well, I keep in the bed of the truck. Much prefer it to the one that came with the truck

I looked at these on Amazon when I was looking for a bottle jack last year. The reviews weren't the best so I started searching for a jack made in the USA. There's only one which is made by US Jack and they have great reviews. Yes they're expensive ($100 more now than what I paid 1 yr ago) I just don't trust my $50K truck to some cheap china jack. I also added these accessories from Safe Jack. I know not everyone wants to spend this much but if you're looking for a good quality one made in the USA this is the only company left who makes one. They also have stands, scissor jacks, transmission jacks and floor jacks.

I bought mine here.

I think it is about 69 lbs or so and it has a nice grab handle at the center of gravity so it lifts very easily and stays balanced with one hand.
Awesome thank you! I need one of these

I've been needing a good floor jack for awhile now so when I saw a Harbor Freight store on the way home today I picked up a couple items. My prior F-150 FX4 , the new Ranger FX4 and with the Bronco coming in , I really needed something other than my old AC Delco floor jack to lift the tall stuff safely. I already had their vacuum oil extractor for several years now and it has been great. I loaned it to a friend and he has been using it on his car , trucks and skid steer and had said that he was going to buy one also. I just picked up a new one today and stopped by to tell him that he could just have my old one. He's been a great friend over the years and we don't keep up with who is ahead giving each other stuff, lol.

I also picked up the last Badland Off-road jack they had in stock and let me tell ya, this thing is sweet. Built like a tank and rolls over anything. I had to wheel it through the gravel and tall weeds out back just to try it out. It has a solid skid plate underside so it will not bog down in sand or mud and with just a few pumps it had already lifted the Ranger off the floor and was taller than my old jack at its highest :) The price is right too. I just watched a few YouTube reviews on it and it appears I made a good choice. It seems to be getting nothing but praise from the off road community. Just thought I'd share if anyone is in the market for a good jack and the oil extractor has my seal of approval also. I've used that model for a good many oil changes over the years and my friend will probably wear it out with all the vehicles he has.

So do the plastic wheels hold all the weight? I don't understand how that would hold up, or is it meant to sink to the bottom of the jack on the dirt/ground so the wheels don't take the load?

Here's a super duper idea....make a "damper" that is easily removable in the field, and make it strong enough to double as a hydraulic jack !!!!!
Great idea !!!!!
