Pretty awesome looking jack, great that it has onboard secure storage for the extension saddle and the Allen wrench. I think it's a little too big and heavy to make my regular off-road kit though.... And almost $600 in Canada, YIKES!
No kidding Jay, it sure has an unfriendly price tag up here.

I found it at Princess Auto for $500 and branded under the CAT label on Amazon.ca for $561.

I understand how you feel. However, some of the chinkfreight jacks are good quality. But the get what you pay for rule still applies.
Kept hearing that about Korean cars when I'd talk about what a piece of shit my '87 Hyundai Excel was. 30 years later and their cars don't reach mileage ratings, catch fire on the highway, and can be stolen with a toothbrush.

Even you should know to never question HOBO FREIGHT!!
But they have some really cool stuff.

I have a coupon and the Noise and Fume generator looks enticing...

Didn't know summit made stands, probably wouldn't consider their house brand if I did. And wouldn't shop for stands at Walmart.

I just feel there's a time and a place to save money. And safety equipment is not it in my opinion.
I agree and would never buy a cheap jackstand. I never trust a jack alone and this one beats the ones you find at most auto parts stores easily . As far as jackstands go , I only use the heavy ones that you put a pin through.

that off road jack is pretty sweet. What does it weigh ? can you get it in and out of the truck with one person easily?
I think it is about 69 lbs or so and it has a nice grab handle at the center of gravity so it lifts very easily and stays balanced with one hand.

if they cant even get those correct it gives thought about the product being safe lol
You probably don't trust a lot of things then because even Ford makes huge typo mistakes on its websites .

To be fair, you won't be lifting the whole vehicle with it.

At most half the weight (I lift my truck by the sliders when I do tire rotations, so maybe 3000 lbs max, likely less).

Now if your truck is loaded with accessories it may become a limitation.

I looked around in Jeff's Warehouse and the highest capacity I saw was 3 ton.

It says Caterpillar on it but it wouldn't surprise me if it was made on the same assembly line as the HF.

Twice the price, and only 2/3 the capacity? Rangers and I believe all the mid-size trucks are over 2 ton. I wonder what the target vehicle is for that?
As Dennis said , you won't be lifting the entire weight of the vehicle. The 1 1/2 ton AC Delco jack in my first pic has been lifting one wheel off the floor just fine but I had to sit it on a section of railroad cross tie to reach the Ranger frame which I never liked to do. I bought that for about $79 at O'Reilly's back in 2004 I think, lol. I tried the new Badland at the center of the side frame on the Ranger and it lifted both passenger side tires off the floor fine. Now I need a couple taller jackstands and will do my own tire rotations.

And a quick plug for the best jackstands I've ever used.

I bought mine a few years ago when they were $40 each.

Incredibly convenient.

I like the bottle jacks. Much cheaper and still reasonably stable. Also, dont take up as much space as regular jacks.

Don't let my neighbors know about those off road jacks. They look like they roll pretty quiet across the pavement with those big wheels.
They would be tickled pink if I used one of them, instead of the steel wheeled monster I drag down the driveway at 7am on a Saturday to rotate the wheels.
