At least it got to page 3 first. Seriously though luckily it didn't get out of hand. I've been on many different forums over the years and they rarely stay on topic. Tacoma World is probably one of the worse. You're lucky to get through the first page and it's totally going in a different direction.
3 pages of help. What more can be said? I read all kinds of "help" being offered. Some made sense, some not so much.

- Call Insurance. Total truck.
- Speak to Ford Customer Care
- File complaint
- Buy out lease
- Default on payment
- Get parts off assembly line

Bottom line, not much can be done other than that. Factories were shut down due to C19 and parts were not being made. It takes time to ramp back up and start producing things. There is a backlog of several months which will impact both factory assembly production and repairs. Pam's truck was one of many that probably are being repaired in one form or another. So we ended up having a little bit of good natured fun with her situation. What's wrong with that?

There ya go Greg now you really opened up a big can of worms. lol ....As long as Terry doesn't see this she's safe. I'm trying to behave. :lipssealed::bandit:
It's really creepy how threads can be hijacked so easily and I feel bad because I helped it along.
Well, it is the internutz, like trying to to not get a drink at a bar cause you went for advice from the drunk...and Dave, how do you know she was a she, did you call her up?:crazy::LOL:...scary lol!!

You're right! Add a baseball cap with a ponytail hanging out the back and I'm hooked. ??
Guess this just emphasized my Point ?

PS I think I accidentally sent a screen shot of some posts to your g/f by mistake, trying to post over at the Ridge line forum....? It was it the frontier forum???

Oh I totally agree with this. Some here think she didn't receive help which she did. Like you said there's nothing else left to be said so the conversion just took off in another direction, not a big deal it didn't get ugly just fun n games. If/when there's someone with more advice it'll be given but until then unfortunately she's going to have to be patient (it sucks) and wait until parts are available. :)

The Bronco crew is going through the same aggravation with delay after delay because of parts not being available due to Covid. It's delaying a lot of key components needed to start building it and the natives are getting restless there too. Some have cancelled and moved on to other vehicles and some have just cancelled and are waiting a few years until Fords gets their shit together and then they'll entertain buying a Bronco.

My Mustang has been at the dealer for 4 months waiting on a new short block. I finally got word last week that it has finally shipped from Detroit.

Case opened with Ford to request some sort of compensation.

Need to take our explorer in tomorrow for a suspected steering rack failure and I'm worried about getting the part.

Not just Ford! Saw last week several manufacturers are shutting down line because of lack of parts.

read the same over the weekend, we have been beta-testing the new '20 Escape Hybrid since we picked it up for my wife in March last year. Luckily its all been stuff that did not make it a driveway paperweight BUT a few items it took months for them to get all the parts rounded up. Last week the cup holder bottom/base just 'fell out' and the wireless charger stopped working...parts on order now. I think we are on like our 6th 'misc. bs warranty fix' visit...at some point it will end or at least the tech's will get a lot of OJT on the new model!
