I test drove a Tacoma when I was shopping around before I went with the Ranger. I know Toyota is all hyped up but I wasn’t really impressed with it. The one I tested (can’t remember what year it was) drove like crap. Suspension was stiffer than 2x4 lumber and the interior felt and looked kind of cheap. By the time I went around the block, I told the salesman I wasn’t interested but thanks for letting me try it out.
I’m not Toyota guy but what’s the deal with Tacoma’s? Seems like everyone and their brothers drive one. Am I missing something?? lol
Just a quick update, i got on KBB and they offered $22,400 to buy my truck at 3 different dealerships. I went to the 1st dealer and they paid me $23,200 for it. Good by Ranger! I will never buy a Ford again.
I would buy it. I'm also keeping an eye on what the new Ram Dakota is going to be.OPPPS!!Too many tabs open at once- meant to post this in one of my motorcycle forums.
So... Ford did produce a 6G SuperCrew/long bed test vehicle that was spied driving around Dearborn the summer of '23, but not considered for production:

Ford is probably keeping an eye on Taco and Frontier long box sales and keeping these in their back pocket just in case. For now folks who are buying 850,000+ F-Series a year aren't complaining about the size.
As long as Bronco and F-Series are selling well, Ranger will remain, "Ya git whatcha git an' ya don't have a fit!"
