I've been watching as Nitto came out with the Nomad as an SUV/CUV All-Terrain tire. So far I haven't heard of anyone running them on the Ranger but some of the sources say they fit Broncos and Explorers, both within the same weight class.

https://www.nittotire.com/suv-cuv-tires/nomad-grappler-crossover-terrain-tire/

Anyone on here actually running these yet? (Not much out there on reviews besides sponsorships)

As a side note, I've been looking for an All-Terrain to replace the Ridge Grapplers I currently have. I want to salvage some fuel economy so I am looking at lighter tires, less blocky shoulders as I rarely go off-road these days. If anyone has a favorite AT, the floor is yours.

funny you started a thread-
my four terra grapplers are being warranted for (unsure what was up with them, developed a very
strange vibe at 70mph) possible broken belts.
turns out terra grapplers are being discontinued, recon (big sizes) and nomad (smaller sizes) are its replacment.
i so got a feeling ill be getting nomad grapplers.

Not much out on those Nittos. However, BF Goodrich has a similar light A/T tires (more like aggressive all-season tire) that is popular with the Subaru, etc SUV/CUV crowds, that can be had in our Ranger size: BF Goodrich Trail-Terrian T/A

I saw a Colorado in my neighborhood with these tires. I keep meaning to ask the owner for feedback.

You could check out the Continental Terrain Contact A/T also, for anther light duty A/T that fits our trucks. I have had good experience with many Continental tires on other vehicles.

Yokohama Geolandar G015
Or any P-rated, non-LT tire.

@Den19, the Nitto Nomad Grappler is a new tire so personal experience may be limited but it looks to be a solid tire. Depending on what size you are looking for we have some stock available.

I ran a set of the Yokohama Geolandar G015 on my FJ Cruiser with solid results as well. It rises smooth and quiet.

I was looking at these too. They look much more street friendly than your typical KO2/Wildpeaks/AT3s. Guess it depends on your use-case but based on what you said they seem like a solid choice if the load rating is sufficient for your needs.

For a nice All-Terrain that isnt to heavy and doesnt hurt Fuel Economy like most I foumd the Firestone Destination XT to do the trick. When comparing other tires in its class(BFG KO2, General Grabber ATX and others) the Firestones are lighter. In Just a 31x10.50x15 the Firestone is 5 lbs lighter per tire compared to the KO2. In 285/70-17 LT Load E the Firestone is 7 LBS lighter per tire compared to the KO2. Just that alone will make a difference. I will also mention that wet and winter traction have been great as well for an All-Terrain.

Here is a link to the tire, https://www.firestonetire.com/tire/destination-xt/30X9.50R15LT/

copper is making a newish a/t tire that is much more street than off road but still has the looks some folks want. sort of a mall crawler tire that looks off road but is really a highway all season lol. they come in most popular sizes for suv and pickups. i have not tried them. but ive never had a bad cooper tire after many sets.

Tire actually looks pretty good. I too have had good luck with cooper. Such a tough choice on new tires, so many variables.

I have the Cooper Discoverer Rugged Trek . They are a hybrid tread design..
Center tred is all terrain, outer tred an
open lug m/t design....In my size 255 70 R18 they are a XL rated 45 lb tire...not as robust as a LT rated, but a higher load and tow capacity than a P rated tire...I have had them since they were first released in April 2021..
Good road manners and offroad capability....did not take much of a hit in mpg, and road noise is minimal...

i have these as well 265/70/17 xl. love the way they look and ride. 1500 mile road trip a few weeks ago and no issues. had the cooper stt pros on my last truck and they were great as well. they were too expensive and heavy for me in this size though for the ranger
