Hello all, new Ranger owner. I got a Lariat 501a FX4 with Sport and tow package, along with some upgraded wheels and running boards that will be headed to Craigslist shortly. Planning full engine bolt-ons, custom tune, and Icon stage 2 suspension with wheels and tires and bumpers/sliders. Winch, if it will fit.

It's the third truck in my stable, along with well-modified 2012 Raptor and lowered 2017 F150 5.0, Whipple supercharged to about 850hp working on 1000. My name is Michael, and I'm a truck addict.

Hi All,
I'm new to this forum, and I'm also on a couple others as well. I'm @Motorpsychology on stormtroopers.com and I'm @chrisgb on escapeforum.org. and that's why I'm here; my Escape. I have a 2018 SEL 4wd with the 1.5L Ecoboost and I'm getting a little apprehensive about the 1.5L's longevity, having been on that forum for about a year. Lotta long block replacements documented there (porus block, coolant leak into primarily #3cyl). Meantime, Mrs Motorpsychology would rather drive our '09 Mariner, as its always been "her" car, so if I have my druthers, I'll be looking at a new Ranger or maybe a Bronco come fall 2020 - spring 2021. So I'm just looking over everyone's shoulder to get a feel for the concerns, praises and advice on the Ranger

Hello, I'm new to the forum and have a 2020 Lariat 4X4 on order. While I await delivery, I'm going to be on the lookout for as much information as possible. It is intended to replace a 2016 GMC Canyon with 27K miles on the clock. After almost a month, I'm still waiting on receiving a build date, which makes me wonder if it may be several months before delivery.

I stopped by the dealership Saturday to check on my Ranger l ordered on October 16, they checked on it and said it scheduled to be built December 16, they thought it might be delivered by the end of the year.

I took delivery of a new Ranger a couple of weeks ago, 2wd, Super cab, 6' bed, sliver color, LXT trim, towing package.
I am very happy with it.
Previous vehicle was a 2011 Tacoma same basic body style,160,000 miles.
I'm retired, I'll be using the Ranger for basic transportation, and towing a 17' fishing boat from time to time.
I'd like to add in channel window vents for the two front windows only and am having trouble finding a set, any recommendations appreciated. I'd also like to add some additional tie down points low, or on the floor, and near the corners of the bed, suggestions?
looking forward to hearing from other members, thanks!
Steve

Congrats on your new Ranger!

You can find some info here for the window vent shades.

Well the other day I drove to the dealer to look at and drive a new Ranger. Ended up Trading in my 2018 VW Golf sportwagen the next day lol. Picked up a 19 Shadow Black XLT FX4 and I couldn't be more happier. This truck is amazing and feels right because my first vehicle ever was a 94 ford ranger. Good to be back to my roots!
