Hey all, picked up a 2021 XL STX in August and have JUST ABOUT finished making it mine!

So far:
Tonneau cover
Side steps
Westin Sportsman grille guard
Alpharex pros with LED bulbs
Wired for a sub, just still figuring out the speaker inputs.

I was really thinking about the blue, but the Orange just looked a little better to me. Like a road side service truck, but with metallic.

The orange was my second choice if I couldn't get it in blue. I lucked out and they had exactly the truck I wanted when I needed to buy. (The only thing I hated was the stock XL headlights).

I think the Black appearance package I liked required XLT trim at a minimum. XLT has the same crap lights as best as I can tell so I'm thinking about AlphaRex LED lights, but hung up on the unneeded extra amber side marker. I'm just not a fan of adding an extra reflector that is not needed, now if I were planning on fender flares that covered/deleted the OE front side marker I would, with out a doubt, want these lights. I'm looking for solar tonneau cover options, but the one I've found is not planned to reach market until next year. I want to just plug my Jackery Explorer 1500 into it in the bed of the truck and not have to worry about setting up the portable solar panels it came with unless I need more power in early morning or late evening.

Hello Everyone! I've learned a lot from this forum already and appreciate all the knowledge from long time members. I just bought a new 2021 Ranger XL 4x4 STX and have taken it out 3 times into the local mountains to try it on my typical forest roads.

Really love the truck, getting the bug to modify it now that I've seen so much on here.

I think first on the list is to trade the stock 18" STX wheels for a smaller steel rim to fit tires with a taller side wall- these are just too pretty for me, haha.

Frank here. Ordered me a 2022 Lariat Super Cab and 2wd a couple weeks ago. It is Shadow black with the ebony interior and the black appearance package. The only other option is the 501A package. Since it is a city driver, I doubt there will be any mods. I do plan to get a tonneau cover, replace the carpeted floor mats with an aftermarket set, and maybe the window deflectors. Black truck, hot summer sun, concrete/blacktop parking lots.... yeah, lower the windows.

Looking forward to the good reads on here....

Ugh. I just noticed that extra side marker. The fact that it exists doesn't bother me, but the fact that it's a SLIGHTLY different color does. Now I'm going to have to do something to make them match or it's gonna drive me nuts.

Hi all, Andrew here. Picked up a 2021 Ranger Lariat about a month ago, I was needing a truck for the farm and something to drive through the snow while my Focus hibernates for the winter, and the Ranger fits the bill perfectly. I used to be jealous of the Broncos since I thought they were the only ones that came in Cactus Grey, but now I'm lucky enough to have it on my kit, and paired up with the black appearance package it looks out of this world awesome. Looking forward to cruising the pages and meeting everyone!

Congrats on the Ranger it looks great. The st looks good too. An absolutely fun car. It is a shame Ford chose not to sell them here anymore.

Hi all. I bought my first Ranger last April. It is a 2021 Lariat 4x4 in cactus grey with the black appearance package. I bought it to tow on all 4’s behind my RV. I did that over the summer and towed it 3400 miles. It was great and met all my expectations. I needed the bed to load my bike and the 4wd so I could tow it behind my rv. Ford makes that so easy and nothing under the hood to disconnect in order to tow it. The 4wd also gave me the option to explore the back roads in my travels Which gave me a ton of confidence that I was not going to get stuck anywhere.

Welcome to the forum. From one RV'er to another. Although not a motor home owner anymore, I understand your pick of the 4x4 Ranger for a toad. Not too many new vehicles being made anymore that can be towed 4 down (compared to 8-10 years ago)
Many happy miles too you in your travels,
And, pictures are almost a requirement here. Post some with your rig.
