I’m new here from Tristate area of NY. I bought a new 2020 Ranger XLT with 302A in March to pull a UTV around NY, and up to Maine.
So far LED low/highbeams, Diode Dynamics SS3 LED fog replacements, Diode Dynamics SS6 bars, Rockblokz XL flaps, Husky floor liners, brake controller.

I've been lurking and learning a lot over the past month. I just wanted to say Hi and Thanks for all the threads and knowledge on here that helped me purchase and start to customize my Ranger. I've spent a ton of money, my first car payment hasn't even hit yet, and all of you are to blame. This is fun!

Morning all!

New to the forums, and Ford in general. A little apprehensive so far, but got a wicked offer for my 2019 Jeep JL Rubicon and moving back to a truck. I'm moving, and there is very little off-road where I'm going, so the toy is gone.

Have a 2021 XLT SuperCrew in Oxford White on a delivery truck, be here in about a weeks time. FX4, 302A, Technology package, Black Appearance package, Tow Package.

I've only ever had Ram's, and was originally looking at Toyota, but the Ranger won me over for power, capabilities and ergonomics (all compared to the Taco). Didn't want a full size truck this time around..

I'll post pics once I get it.

Cheers and back to reading these forums!

I didn't put much effort in my screen name, so that's my name. I am new on here since I purchased my Ranger and traded in my F150 this past weekend; still surprised I pulled the trigger, but I am not regretting it so far. I love the truck and once I add some of my personal touches will like it even more.

The alleged "COVID is causing a back log on getting materials, so we can't do your spray in liner, etc." situation is holding me up, but hopefully soon enough I'll have the truck where I want it.

Looking forward to sharing knowledge and info. I just got on here yesterday and have already ordered the ignition key ring and engine cover since learning about these items on here. I appreciate the folks that share the information and lessons learned.

Been here a few weeks. My dad was a ford guy most of his life, but I have never owned an American vehicle. Back when I bought my first car (a Honda Accord) in '82 American cars, well, sucked. I swore I'd never own one.

Well, fast forward 40 years, I bought a 2020 Lariat fully loaded and I'm happy as a pig in sh**.

New here, bought a 2021 Lariat in Carbonized Gray a month ago. ordered a tailgate damper before I even bought the truck! installed the unit from Autostop Eliminator after reading all the posts on options to get around that feature. went with Autostop because now it works like I wish it did from Ford. my decision to turn it on or off and it just stays where I put it.

This forum is a wealth of knowledge, however I am jonesing for a lot of the "mod's" by others now and seem to place orders at odd hours for things I probably dont need but cant live without.

had a new in 1991 F-250HD two wheel drive, really a one wheel drive. got stuck a lot in that truck. and an '85 Ranger sometime in the late 90's I used as a beater. I loved that Ranger. So very excited to be back in a Ranger.

Hi All from San Diego!
I’m the FNG and happy to be here. Purchased my 21 Cactus Gray Lariat FX4 only a couple days ago and couldn’t be happier. My first car as a kid was a 71 Galaxy and I hadn’t owned a Ford until trading in my 19 Charger Scat Pack. Wishing RAM made a Dakota but regardless I’m very happy with the Ranger that has won me over. Out of all the midsize trucks I test drove, the inline 4 is punchy and delivers power in the right places. Much of the competition felt a bit sluggish despite being V6s.
No major mods planned but I will make a few additions. First priority is to disable the auto start/stop. It’s just a minor oddity, along with others like the rear sliding window being an option and manual and no push button start below the Lariat unless optioned.
Here are a couple other additions I’m considering,
-Pivot storage box
-bed cap/camper shell (suggestions?)
-bed dampener (so kid doesn’t hurt herself)
-Rubber floor liners
-Stubby antenna
-armrest storage tray
-Sync screen protector
-Tint
-Front level kit (although FX4 looks damn near level already)
-Ford Performance calibration (any reliability issues?)
-Cat back exhaust (worth the dough? Not sure how choked out the Ranger is)
The forum looks to be active, so that’s great and I’m certain I’ll find all kinds of information on the above list and good discussion to boot. Anyway good to be here and look forward to chatting with you good folks!

Nice! Yep, that's Grossmont in the background. I took that pic after driving over to Carl Burger to cancel my Charger warranty...well that, and as a middle finger to a dealership that has gone way down hill and burned me as a customer.
Thanks, agree on the color. I was set on Blue or Red but this gray is really nice and a bit different.
