Glad you came to your senses and got rid of the FCA product!
Welcome!
Haha, Ram trucks are actually pretty nice, I just didn't want a full size and wanted a backup camera. Had a hard time going Ford over Chevy but liked the features on the Ford a little better. Before my Ram I drove straight shift Frontier several years but got stuck in a traffic jamb on a hill near Chattanooga and bout wore my clutch leg out. So upgraded to an auto (Ram) and now backup camera (Ranger). These upgrades ain’t cheap....

Hey guys, I'm in Marketing at AWE here in the Philly area. I've owned a few Rangers, including an '88 STX dubbed 'the Danger Ranger' I used primarily to haul my dirt bike to some amazing riding spots in California. Currently, I'm getting our Ranger product line read to launch and looking for anyone in the Philly area who could lend us their Ranger for a few days in exchange for a new system, hand built right here. DM me and I look forward to answering any questions as we launch our Ranger product line.

Hello All,
I just bought this as my first pickup truck ever in 40 years of driving. I researched trucks for over a year and was sure it was going to be a new F150. I looked at the Ranger but thought "no way will I buy a 4 cylinder pickup". I kept feeling like the F150 was too much truck and looked at the Ranger again and started to understand the appeal. I am also a "car guy" and really wanted something that felt a little sporty. All that to say that I could not be happier with the truck. My wife and I could not believe how smooth it is and I have had several strangers comment on it in just the first 5 days of ownership. Looking forward to being a "truck guy" for a while.

My last manual shift car was an '81 Honda Civic wagon, my daily driver for work and doing automotive side jobs. Honda makes probably the easiest manual shift cars to drive, I even taught several family members how to drive stick on that poor car. At that time I also owned a '91 Ranger S/Cab 4.0 OHV automatic, but it was much easier to haul my tools and stuff in the Honda. Would you believe that in addition to my tools I once stuffed a complete Ford 390 and a portable engine hoist in it?
After 3 years of commuting in stop and go traffic for at least 1 1/2 hours daily, I grew weary of a stick, so the '81 Civic got replaced with a '95 Accord wagon automatic.
The 10 speed automatic in my 2020 S/Cab is sweet...never going back to owning another right arm rowing/left foot pumping car again, unless it's something very interesting.

I hauled a complete ford 8.8 rear end out of a mustang complete with brake drums in the back of my 05 focus st. That was the last manual transmission car I owned. I had a 5 speed when I lived in Hawaii an it sucked getting stuck in traffic in it. That was in the late 80's so I bet it's worse now.

Hi there, Mike from New Hampshah! This is my third Ford Ranger and my sixth Ford (previous cars were 84 Escort, 84 EXP, 89 Probe GL). Traded my last Ranger in 2006 for a 06 Hyundai Tucson (blah), and the Tucson for a 2014 Subaru Forester (better, still not quite a truck)...All my cars have been manual-equipped up to this truck. I really wish Ford offered a stick in the US for this version, which, with the turbo 2.3 would be a hoot to drive. My truck was a grab off the lot; a black XL-STX with the FX-4 package, vinyl floors and a rear slider window. So far I have bolted a Curt class III hitch, a Gator tri-fold tonneau and a black wheelskins' leather wrap for the steering wheel. Great little truck so far!

Bob here from Oregon, bought a 2019 Lariat in November. Had an 02 F350 1 ton super crew Diesel for 15 years and decided to down size.
I love this truck! Was skeptical about the size but after just a few days I was super happy with the purchase. Researched and drove the Colorado & Tacoma before buying the Ranger, everyone and their dog has a Tacoma and found out the Colorado is made in Mexico so easy choice for me :)
Installing the tow package and leveling kit this week, don't like the stock running boards so I ordered a new pair of N-Fab podium steps to bolt on. I hope they give a little lower step point as this truck is much shorter than the F350 and harder to squat into when on the stock running boards.

Anyway, happy to find this forum and learn more about the Ranger :)

Got my new Ranger XLT FX4 in early December. Sold my 2007 Expedition EL which I bought new. Loving it so far. I bought it off the lot, and it didn’t have trailer tow package, so I have installed Curt trailer hitch, 7 pin wiring and prodigy3 brake controller to tow my snowmobile trailer. Added a 20” light bar to help spot moose on the dark winter roads. I plan to set it up for recreational towing when it warms up.

G'damm bro. Looks great!

Here's mine! Bought my 2019 XLT 4X2 Black with Chrome Appearance Package exactly one week ago and I love it. Now I'm working to black out all the chrome.

Hey everyone, joined a couple days ago after lurking a few weeks. Just bought my 2019 Ranger XLT last Saturday. It's awesome. Tons of tech I'm not used to yet. Just came over from an '04 Red F-150 XLT S/Cab and an '04 Sonic Blue Ranger Edge S/Cab before that. Pic of my F-150 is below. Couldn't find a pic of my old Ranger... If I find it, I'll add it to the post.

Big Red just wasn't getting it done anymore so it was time... It was time.

Anyway, so far I've switched out my antenna for a 2" Stubby and the ignition ring from one of the great forum members here. Future mods include a levelling kit, full chrome blackout, toneau cover, maybe darker tint and step rails. I haven't thought that far ahead, really. Tons of great thread posts and ideas for upgrades in the forums. I plan on stealing as many great ideas as I can afford.

Hello everyone. Picked up a Lariat FX4 in Lightning Blue on Saturday. Had spent a few months sorting out between Colorado, Tacoma and Ranger...Ranger won. Nice riding pickup. Had read a review that the 4x4 was a little rough riding, but I'm not finding that to be true. Downsizing from Truck of the Year, my butt knows comfort and ride. Would like to install a hidden dashcam (thieves, you know), and have been eyeballing the tray on the dash, and how to convert it. Wind deflector, some mud flaps, maybe a tailgate damper on the list. No extreme mods planned. :like:
