I've got my black, xlt, fx4 ordered. First time I've ever been anxious for a new vehicle.

Well guys, I bailed. My dealer didn't do the required paperwork. New delivery date would have been March something. Took my 20 grand back and bought a new 2018 Colorado ZR2

Too bad there isn't an unlike button... Seriously though, glad you found something you liked. Hope you enjoy the ZR2, that's the only package in the Chevy I could ever stomach.

Honestly, you could probably go to a Ford dealership in the next month or two and just buy one off the lot nearly the same as you ordered it. Most of the big dealerships will be receiving retail stock pretty soon.

I am waiting for new Raptor Ranger in Canada. According to internet gossip is is going to be sth new in terms of technology solutions. That is why it does not come with Ranger resurrection right now.
Anyone has any insights about it ?

Hi everyone, I'm Chris.

I was shopping for an F150 but am now highly considering doing a 2yr lease on a new Ranger. It's a great looking truck and the size is perfect for me. I'm hoping the dealer down the street from me will have them soon so I can test drive one. I thought about ordering one but I really want to drive one before I decide. I'm really liking that Hot Pepper Red XLT 4x4 crew cab with the 18" chrome wheels. The only thing I really want on it is the Technology package, 18" chrome wheels, and tow pack. As soon as you add the Tech pack it automatically adds the 302A trim package. I don't mind that so much but it also adds the Chrome package which changes the front bumper to a chrome one. That I don't really like. In all of the media reviews, the Hot Pepper Red trucks seem to have the 18" chrome wheels without the chrome front bumper and it looks perfect that way. Am I missing something or are the pre-production media vehicles speced out differently?

I was able to spec up the truck exactly like you described with the 18” Chrome wheels requiring the 302A package. That leaves you 2 options:

1) get the 301A package with Tow & Tech and buy the 18” wheels separately.

2) get the 302A package with Tow & Tech and the 18” wheels, but option the Sport package with black bumper instead of the Chrome package

Edit: you can’t get the 18” chrome wheels with the red bumper period. You will have to decide what’s more important for you.

I think you're right. I'll probably just live with the chrome bumper since ordering the 18" wheels separately will also require an additional tire purchase as well.

Also if you’re going to lease not buy, then it doesn’t make sense to buy wheels & tires separately, since it will all need to be turned in at the end.

I found the taco seats and seating position very uncomfortable. I didn't like how you sit more low with legs more go kart style versus a normal seated position. The taco community is a bit odd too.
As far as the Colorado goes. I should of test drove, and looking back regret not doing so. I like the Z71 package, and the step bumper in the back. GMC All Terrian had my eye for a while. I worried about reliability, and my previous car was a Ford and being more of a Ford guy, we naturally hate GMs by default
Frontier price was good and after test driving, it won me over. Leather seats are super comfy, seating position is great and at the time I liked the "old schoolness" of it.
Now i'm rather bored with the low tech and how unrefined it is. Wind noise at highway speeds is high, and drives me nuts.

Hey. Paul from North of Chicago. Joined 1-1-19. Have had 3 Sport Tracs and one Ranger. Currently driving an 07 Sport Trac and was waiting for the new Ranger roll out. So far disappointed on some things. Like paying extra for the Hot pepper red... I'm a moon roof guy, power slider guy, (Sport Trac spoiled me) and a larger engine than a 2.3l guy. Some of us tow things... What is the towing capacity on the new Ranger BTW? And why do I have to buy a gazillion options if I want the 10 speaker stereo?? Looking forward to reading everyone's posts. Though I may be looking closer into the Colorado now....
