Hello all, new member from Alabama, recently gave up on getting first a Maverick and then a 2022 Ranger and stumbled across a very nice 2021 Carbon Grey XLT with 9300 miles on it and almost all of the goodies I wanted. BAP, heated seats, CP360, spray in bed liner, etc. so I snapped it up.

Only things I have added so far are an Extang Tonneau cover and a tailgate damper (had a finger pinned between a tailgate and trailer hitch, not letting that happen again).

Best picture I have right now, will add more when the weather clears here.

Should introduce myself officially. Been lurking for a while and posting in the “order” threads while I waited. Live in the Vancouver area and picked up my Lariat Fx4 crew 2 weeks ago. Loving it so far.

No mods, but retrax tonneau, black exhaust tip and damper on order. Hood struts not available locally, but will pick them up shortly. Will put power and lighting in the bed once the tonneau is on.

Not planning a lot more mods than that for a while. Will do some off-roading to some hikes this summer and access needs. Then maybe I’ll consider some upgrades.

I’m finally one of the cool kids! And the damper is waiting for me at the casa. Double cool kid! Now back to Texas for me…

I have been posting in this forum for a few weeks but never did see this introduction thread.
My name is Eric, I am in Marietta GA which is just north of Atlanta. I just bought a 2022 Ford Ranger Tremor in carbon gray. I absolutely love this truck. Perfect size and great platform.
I do not see the Ranger on the road very often, but when I first saw one a couple years ago I really liked the look of the truck. The design is great in my personal opinion and I love the slight European style.
I decided to buy one after researching the new Ford Bronco as I ordered a base model a couple months ago. The more I read up on the Ranger, and watched several Youtube videos I decided that the Ranger is what I would rather have. I come from a background of having several Jeeps (YJ, a few TJ's, and JK) and a couple of Tacomas (1999 and a 2004). I was set on the 2 door Bronco, but the reality is I will need occasional easy access to a back seat as I have a few grandkids thanks to one of my sons getting started early (Im 47 btw!) that may need a lift from grandpappy from time to time, lol.
Once I saw the new redesign of the 2023 Ranger I knew that I needed to buy the 2022. I preferred the Tremor as it has a lot done to it that I would have done anyways (leather seating, 32" at tires, slight lift, better suspension, etc). I was looking for one in Cactus Gray (which was difficult to find), but found the Carbon Gray available at a dealer not to far from me. The carbon was my original first choice anyhow, but the cactus color was unique and would hide dirt better.
So far I am loving the truck even though it did have a faulty turbo that needed replacement on day one (waste gate arm was bent from the factory somehow), and already have a few small mods ready to install ASAP. I look forward to several years with my new Ranger as I plan to keep this one.

I thought I saw this truck the other day in South Huntsville? There aren't too many around here, I've seen some cheap White X-cab work trucks and a bunch with "old man" campers on them, like my step-fathers 2021 Silver Lariat Ranger, LOL! Definitely haven't seen another one like mine and doubt I will, LOL!

Thanks! I've been in Madison county all my life, but moved to the city life in 2007. Anyway, I ordered the Ranger in August and it was finished in October! It was mostly stock until I finally got everything delivered to me around December-January :)

Moved here from the Shenendoah Valley in Virginia (my wifes home) I grew up in eastern North Carolina (pretty obvious from the NC plate on the front of the truck and emblem on the tailgate :)). This area has been good to us but with her gone I'm ready to move back home and wake up on the beach again.

I read through your build thread, lots of good ideas there. Question for you on the CF inlays you put on the dash and door parts, were they pretty easy to work with and do you think they'll hold up? I looked at the TukSkinz stuff but in some of the pictures the application looks kind of janky.

Thanks for reading through my build, I'm very thorough, LOL!

Sorry to hear about your wife and wanting to move back to NC. I like going to the Dragon in NC and I need to take the Ranger up there this year and see how it handles!

This is pretty much the only place/state I've ever been in. Parents moved to Georgia in '80-'81 and I had to go with them, LOL! My Dad got a promotion at work way back then, but had to transfer to GA, from Gurley, Alabama, where I grew up at (not too far East of Huntsville), but then they decided the promotion wasn't worth it and moved back to Gurley before '82. My wife and I got married in '05 and lived in Gurley, beside my dad, for a few years, before moving to Madison, AL, in late '07, then we moved to South Huntsville in late '16 and we're not moving anymore, unless it's when we retire in 10ish years, we might move back to my dads' land in Gurley and build a house, but that's a big "might"....

As for the CF stuff, the pieces on the vents and display unit seem to be fairly nice. The piece on the steering wheel needs some heat to "massage" it to fit better, but it still looks decent. I also have a CF piece that goes around the A/C & Radio panel, but haven't installed it yet. The pieces on the Power Window switches are pretty nice. But, the pieces around the door handles are complete junk! Nothing's wore off yet, but I have less than 2000 miles on the truck.

Do not get the piece that goes on the shift knob, if you have the leather shift knob option, it will not stick... I didn't buy it, as I prefer the leather there over the CF, I just read everyone's reviews...

I do not like that damn OEM Fortress Silver color on the dash pieces! I prefer the Vault Grey pieces that the Lariat comes with, but they're not cheap! Just the Lariat dash vent piece alone cost almost $300! You cannot buy the Lariat door handle surround trim pieces separately from the whole door panel either and they're I want to say about $300 per door panel, so $1200ish for all 4 door panels :frown:

I just looked up that TufSkinz website and for the price they want for some of that stuff, you're better off buying a full set from this guy: WoodDash.com
Screenshot 2022-03-14 at 06-05-11 FORD RANGER Interior Dash Trim Kits Auto Accessories - WoodD...png

They don't have anything to fully cover up the Fortress Silver, but I think this full kit is less than $200? They have 4 kits to choose from, 2WD or 4WD, 8pc or 28pc. They have 2 kinds of CF, when I have samples of both in my garage, if you'd like to see them? Or several other colors, Piano Black would be a nice one to get and they have a bunch of wood flavors, LOL!

I bought some good vinyl wrap to try to wrap some of the interior pieces, but haven't had a chance to try it out yet.

You can also find the pieces I've got installed in my truck on AmericanTrucks.com, Amazon and eBay.

Gotta take my little puppies to the vet in a little bit, sorry for the lengthy reply, but like I said, I am pretty thorough :)

I join y'all too. My name is John, Pick mine up Monday. 2022, XLT, crew, FX4, Splash, Technology package, 302A, trailer tow, and it's in Cyber Orange.

I had a deposit with another dealer for a similar truck, was waiting for it to arrive. Then I saw Cactus Gray on a Ranger in the supermarket, just didn't do anything for me, it had a green/blue tint to it, I just didn't like. So I cancelled in it. If you are paying a ton of money, might as well get what you want, life is too short.
Welcome, you selected the (IMO) best color option there is. Psst... over here

Hi everyone. I've been reading through plenty of threads since I got my truck and figured I could make an account and join the fun. My names Tasha and I'm from South Central Alaska. Husband and I went back forth between an F-150 and a Ranger, before finally settling on a '21 XLT Sport after weeks of looking for one with a tow package. We acquired a camper recently and needed a second truck that could tow the SXS, but I wanted something small enough to navigate some of the mountain 1 lane roads I find myself on when I hike. I got a month out of that truck before someone pulled out in front of me. As soon as I was approved to go shopping I found a used 19' Lariat FX4 with 37k miles when you couldn't find new Rangers anywhere in state. 6 months and 13k miles later I still love this truck. Enough space for the kids and dogs, comfortable to drive all day, tows a 20' trailer with ease and gets me where I need to go regardless of conditions. I have have a long list of mods planned with the end goal being a moderate overland build to make the getaway weekends easier. Starting with the Bilstein 5100 shocks, air bags, summer wheels and new AT's after we get through our false spring..

Hello from Denver, for now... as we move this summer. I am currently trying to order a Ranger now, however, passed on 3 dealers so far that don't seem to put in the effort. Currently working with the sponsorship dealer here.

Other than that, I retired from the AF last year and tune cars for a living now (though I had been doing it for the last 18 years). I plan to make some tunes for the Ranger as I already have my finger on the BIN for an HP Tuner. :)

Hope to be of some help here... Since I cannot stop messing with s***. :)

How did you get the "Okinawa", where you station in the rock?
