Hi there Ranger fanatics. I'm Bobby a Virginia native living in far western Maryland surrounded by West Virginia. Bought the 2019 Supercrew 4x4 XL, group 101A, electronic locking diff, sliding rear window, trailer tow package today. I'm trying to figure out how to fold 2nd row seats completely flat for my dog....I'm afraid to force things and break something.... certainly there must be a way to lay flat. Any tips would be appreciated.

Endeavour, I hate to disappoint but that is one of the pet peeves everyone has about the rear seats on the Ranger. They do not lay flat, and Ford recommends that nothing be placed on them when folded down. Not what we were all expecting unfortunately.

Names Galen and I’m debating on picking up a new ranger when funds allow. Currently driving a 2002 ranger, and it’s a solid daily. Sold my Wrangler a while back for my upcoming wedding, and I had dreams of getting the ranger raptor. So now I plan on adding a lift, tires, and raptor wheels to an XLT or lariat trim. Prefer the magnetic color at this time.

Thanks for reply Pinecrestjim....bummer ! Guess I'll have to figure something out for my dog "Buddy". My 2005 Escape goes from full 2nd row to flat in about 1 minute.

Guess your only option is a seat cover.
thanks for input FX4Offroad....It's not so much about wear & tear on seats...with the gap / drop off from back of front seats to start of rear seats a sudden brake situation could toss the dog forward & down risking injury. I'll figure something out.

I am waiting impatiently for the exact same truck, different color. I am already researching mods to do to mine. On your truck a back seat mod could be in the works.

Nice looking XL in Lightning Blue, don't be afraid to get it dirty! FWIW you live in one of my favorite areas, having spent some time west of the beltway myself.

I'd be interested to see what you do. I don't yet have a Ranger but I'd definitely use a true fold-flat rear seat a lot.

I am getting a swing away tool box, a shell, a skid plate for the front, and running boards if wife want them. I have named my truck Tlone. LOL
I have to see how much room there is behind the back seat for gun racks. Oh I see that there is already a part to permanently shut off the stop/start stupid thing.

went to see my Dealer today.
I saw a white Lariat they had on the lot a few weeks ago. poked around it but never drove it. There isn't many in Canada yet, and they aren't moving as fast as I thought they would. The common denominator seems to be the pricing. Of the three my dealer has seen in the last few weeks, only two have sold.
Today I stopped in to see how my ordered unit was coming along and took the Lariat for a drive. It was everything I expected it to be. No surprises and no let downs.
My Ranger was scheduled for delivery Feb 18, two days ago, so it can be any day now this week.
Im excited for it and will be sad to see the F150 go. But a Chili Pepper Red XLT FX4 with the 302a package has me thinking the void will be filled nicely. Bed liner will be sprayed in locally and windows will be tinted.
I'm hopeful it will come this week, and pics will follow.
I've heard the Canadian Ranger is expensive compared to our US Ranger. Seems like the price is X% higher but your wages aren't X% higher to compensate.

Hi All! I've had my FX4 Lariat for about a month now, it was the first off the lot, dealer ordered and I snagged it before arrival... love it, bed cover on order (they are still manufacturing them), hoping for side steps soon (again, the challenges of a new model).
