Hello everyone! New to the forum but I bought my Tremor back in October of 2021. It's been amazing, and I have no complaints. However, has anyone had an issue with their bed? I have a trailer, and don't put anything in my bed at all, but the clear coat and paint is coming off and rusting. Check this out. Definitely seems as though it's a defect of sorts to me. Let me know your thoughts!

Welcome to the forum.
I'm not sure if the bed is clear coated, and the rust seems to be where water would sit, in the seams. Not sure if the rust thru warranty would apply to surface rust.
Check with your dealer....but doubt if they will cover it.
Best bet would be to take it to one of the better spray in liner companies. They most likely will be able to sand blast the areas, and then apply a spray in liner.
That will prevent any future rust problems. Had it done to my 2021 shortly after buying it and bed still looks like new.

Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I don't have high hopes with the dealer but will give it a go anyway. I should have just done a bedliner right after I bought it. ? I do have some reputable places that are fairly local for a spray in. Thanks again and I look forward to being a part of the club!

10-4 on a good quality spray-in bed liner.

Keep in mind that it is a rust through warranty. The reason for that is, while it might appear to be from standing/trapped water, they could argue that it was scratched from cargo; prove that it was vs prove that it wasn't.

If your truck was still under the 3/36 maybe they would touch it up., but you're probably better off touching it up yourself.

Spray liner and a bed mat.

Did I read right, you don't use the bed?

Thanks for the input, guys. Correct, I have only had random items in the bed for short periods of time that were neither heavy nor abrasive. I have a 6X12 enclosed cargo trailer that I use for pretty much everything I need to haul. Seems as though I should have had the spray in done regardless when I first bought the truck to prevent this issue.

I wouldn't worry too much. My '21 had scrapes and scratches to where large areas of the paint were missing, but it never rusted.

I'd probably hit it with some touch up paint if the dealer won't touch it. Bed mat and some sort of tonneau cover would probably help too unless you go the spray in liner route.
