I have installed Nav screen protectors (NuShield) on my previous cars/trucks and am curious to your thoughts on whether these are needed on the Ranger. Thanks!

I would say no. I work in different homes all the time so I use my Nav a lot and it stays really clean from fingerprints and doesn't scratch like the older ones did. Once in a while I'll take a microfiber towel and give it a quick spray (the towel) with glass cleaner and wipe the screen down. It usually doesn't even need that but I just do it while I'm detailing the inside.

I've had good luck so far just wiping it. No need to apply anything. Even with residue from Working Hands cream it still comes off.

Thanks. I will not be purchasing a screen protector.

I agree with the above, I don’t see any reason to bother with one!

I just wipe mine with a dry microfiber cloth maybe once a month.

Thread resurrection. I’d like a tinted screen protector. Run mine in dark (I call it Black Background) mode all the time but still have to turn at night to a very low brightness. Have to remember to turn up because in daytime it’s hard to see the slider to turn up. With a tinted screen protector I could avoid that.

I installed one. Glad I did. Cheap and easy protection against scratches, and it masked a bit of Armor All overspray spotting on the gauge display.

Large scuffs of course but I think the biggest benefit is protection against long term dirt/dust micro-scratches that come from trails and windows-down dirt road driving. Normal wear that fills the screen and other plastic displays.

Screen ProTech makes one for the Ranger. Easy to use with good results (judge it after it dries over a few days).
