My 2020 fwd Escape did awful in the snow so it had to go. No mavericks to be found, so I got a ranger. Test drove an Xlt Fx4 sport, it had frozen moisture on the inside of the windshield and I didn't think anything about it. Got it home and looked at what mods to get. I like the 80s-90s look so I got the oem sport bar and bedcover. You catch the third brake light for the bar on the original light, inside under the headliner. When I removed the interior panels I saw where water had been dripping from the passenger side back glass down the metal, and the carpet had a wet spot.
My local dealer looked at it, and confirmed what I saw, and ordered a rubber gasket. I noticed when I got home I had a door ding and some white paint on my passenger front door. Went back the next morning and told the nice service lady. She got another lady and she told me that the pdr guy came on Fridays, drop it off and they would take care of it. Got my window done on the same Friday and all is good. I can find where the dent was because I know, but its not noticeable and I'm good with it. It was an awfully windy day when it happened.
Got my bull bar on today, didn't know that skid plate trimming was involved, but I got it done. Also got a receiver and a hook for the next person that rear ends me. If the hook catches them, I promise we will see how far I can drag them.
And pics.
Now, I'm thinking wheel spacers to step them out a bit, and a short level, maybe an inch and a half. Stock size tires and stock wheels are staying.
I have husky liners, tint, seat covers, some towel that's made for the back seat, and a cheap container in my back seat for my dirty work stuff. Anything else I need? I'm not paying for premium gas, so possibly a pedal commander.
