My parking sensor saga

Exactly one month ago I posted this thread about an intermittent parking sensor issue. After a month and two trips back to the dealer, it still isn't fixed.

I have taken mine in three times to two different dealers. So far they have replaced 2 senors and tomorrow they are doing the wiring harness on the back. Who knows...maybe this is fix it.

I have to ask....have you been using any kind of polish or other cleaning fluid that makes your bumper shiny?

I work with UT sensors in our pipeline inspection tools and we cannot use any kind of silicon based compounds on our sensors as it will cause false echos in our data.

These parking aid sensors also use sound if I remember correctly and after I take my truck to the detail shop I'll have parking sensors sometimes giving false signals. I'll clean them off with a clean rag dipped in iso alcohol and they are fine.

Mine just all together stopped working 2 days ago. Nothing intermittent, just stopped. I checked the plugs on the sensors I could get too and all seemed ok. Going into the dealer Tuesday AM.

Still love my Ranger Lariat!
