Hey all, here's my 2021 Carbonized Gray STX. I bought it new off the lot in December '21 and was lucky to get it as it was under deposit for weeks prior to delivery. The other guy got impatient and bailed, then the truck showed up three days later. This is my first truck and I had originally wanted a 150 for the cabin space and comfort level but prices have gotten so crazy mixed with already low inventory so it just wasn't feasible. Ultimately I'm happy with how it played out because I am loving this Ranger so far! There's just enough room to fit two carseats in the back (this was mandatory, we have 16 mo. old twins) and it's fun as hell to drive. FWIW, I think the STX is a great option for those looking to save a few bucks while still getting good features and some appearance upgrades, especially if you plan to modify it anyways. Two months ago I had no plans to modify it at all... then I found this forum.

After snooping around on here for a bit, I found some threads I really liked where folks just mildly beefed up their trucks from stock form. Someone called it OEM+ which I think is fitting. I have no plans to do any serious off-roading so most of this is just for appearance and to make it my own.

So far, changes have included:
  • 17" Tremor wheels with 255/80/17 Falken Wildpeaks
  • Bilstein 5100 shocks all around, 1.8" lift in the front
  • Turbosmart BOV
  • Lamin-x fog light covers
  • the ever-important tailgate damper
Potential future plans:
  • Magnaflow muffler swap, black exhaust tip (currently in the mail)
  • soft tonneau cover (have it, just waiting for decent weather)
  • Rokblokz XL mud flaps (also have, need to install)
  • blacked out emblems
  • wheel spacers

Here's how it looked when I took it home in December:

And how it sits as of today:

Looks great with the wheels, but I am partial to the originals. Just so you know, that is the STX Special Edition which gets you extras above the STX. I have the same which I like. It doesn't have all the techno as an XLT, but I don't need any of that.

Correct, I worded it wrong. Yeah the special edition appearance package is great. For what they are, the wheels are pretty cool but I was after a tire with more sidewall and more of a muted overall look. I do like them on your white truck!

Calibrated my speedometer to the new tires with the Hypertech tool available through Stage 3 today. Shifting is definitely improved compared to stock setting and of course the speedo is corrected. Would recommend for all the other non forscan/tune folks out there!

Thank you! Agreed, love how these tires look on here.

An old psychiatric hospital in my town that's been closed since the 90's. Super cool old buildings with amazing architecture. I end up taking photos of all my vehicles here at some point or another.
