A few weeks ago I noticed my 19 Lariat wasn't working in the FordPass app anymore. This has happened a few times over the years, I normally just remove and re add it and it works. Enabling FordPass connectivity in the Synch 3 menus errors out and just says make sure the ignition is on. Anyway I tried combinations of the above and no luck and finally called Ford tech support. They say my modem last connected several weeks ago, there's nothing they can do, and that I have to go to the dealer.

I don't love going to the dealer. Does anyone know if there is a modem reset or other procedure to try using Forscan?

First, in the about Sync section, see if the modem ESN is displayed or blank. If blank the modem could be bad, or just out of sorts. You can reset it by pulling the Telematics fuse. I think it is fuse #9, but check the manual to be sure. Make sure the fuse is good and after reinstalling it, the modem should come back to life (may take a key cycle or two).

I did this last week and can confirm pulling fuse 9 for a minute or 2 and putting it back worked for me. Same symptoms as OP.

Dang, I had to do this a couple months ago.
I can't remember all of it but it had to do with locking and unlocking driver's door and key switch recycle. I know i found it on this site somewhere.

This happened to me a few weeks ago. It turned out to be nothing more than the battery getting weak. Auto Start Stop quit working about the same time. Features on the the Ford Pass app also stopped working. New battery took care of all of those issues.

Yes looks like fuse 9 in the passenger fuse box in my manual. I’ll try it.

Yep, it worked! Pulled fuse 9, waited ten seconds, reinstalled, cycled ignition once. Started truck and drove away, ESN now shows up again and I had to re enable FordPass connectivity manually in the menus.

I'm not out of the woods yet. Now the FordPass app errors out on Activate Vehicle saying "unable to change authorization rights"

Just kidding! I reinstalled the FordPass app and reconnected and reactivated, again, and everything's back to normal! Thanks for the help @chrisakz @alcohenusa

Pulled/reinserted fuse 9 and got my vehicle to communicate with the FordPass App.

If you continue to have some issues, check the center console contents. I left an rfid wallet in there once and it blocked the signal. I believe the modem/router is right beneath the floor of the center console.
