Very suddenly I'm having rough idle/misfiring while driving. It occurs in all aspects of driving (idling/accelerating/cruising). It is much more pronounced than a bad DPFE sensor (already replaced 10k miles ago). No check engine light illuminated. Planning on starting with plugs and a coil pack...

Any ideas?

Edit: 120k trouble free miles. Have engine cover.

Have you ever replaced spark plugs before on your truck? Official Ford recommendation for new spark plugs is 100k miles but most people do it way sooner, like 60k. If you’ve never changed them before, you’re at least 20k miles overdue. I’d start there and see if that helps. It definitely can’t hurt.

I replaced the plugs and she’s running smoothly now. There’s no sign of water intrusion. The plug boots look brand new. I also noticed that the fan clutch hose had deteriorated at both ends. I replaced it with a new piece of 3/8 fuel line and zip-tied the electrical wires with zips.

I’ve attached pictures of the plugs. They look a bit worn out but I’m still surprised that there’s no CEL light! Thanks everyone!
