No need to pre-order, everyone gets a free Maverick just for test driving an F150 LOL. No I think theyā€™re going to be a very successful vehicle for Ford.

This is how I understand it:
Reserving one holds your place in line for a future order, if you so choose to convert it. Ordering banks won't open until the vehicle reaches production status, which is slated for July last I heard but is still technically to be determined. Your order also depends on what options and packages are available at the time the vehicle is built. At this point, the Maverick is still in preproduction, so there's no set in stone options and/or packages. Anything can change still. It likely won't, but it could.
But if you reserve one now, you certainly won't have to wait as long as those poor Bronco reservation holders though.

Canā€™t lie. Iā€™m really curious about the Maverick. The small 4ft (or 4.5 I forget) box would come in handy if I decided to get a topper to maximize storage. The 2.0 AWD and 4000 tow limit is OKAY. All for under 30K. I will be paying attention when the reviews come out. Iā€™m already set on the next gen Ranger, but canā€™t say Iā€™m not interested.

Not sure how the 2.0 would handle small towing regularly with all the heat, especially in the dead of Sumer. Iā€™d worry about head gasket issues.

but 1500 payload capacity for the little thing. Thatā€™s pretty impressive. Especially with independent suspension.

Saw a light blue one on I94 today. Didnā€™t look like a bad little truck. Not for me but I can sure see a use for them.

Check the Ford website.

If you can put in a reservation now it'll say so.

It'll probably be $100 and refundable. If the Bronco is any indication you'll reserve now, convert that into an order with a non refundable deposit in about a year, and get a new truck in about 2 1/2 years.

Wait, thereā€™s another member named Duke? Now I can start talking smack and claim it was someone else.

Nice - welcome to the forum.
