Yes I cut it open to find the spring loaded gate. I ended up doing the muffler delete. I don't know if it helped the performance but i like the sound.

Ok, So i lifted the rear 1" with a set of BDS shackles. Done for now.

Ha, I figured it out. It has a double latch. I wasn't closing it hard enough, so it only hit the first one, and leaving it loose with a gap.

Hey guys, Does anyone have a bigger gap on the top part of your tailgate? (between the tailgate sides and the rear quarter panels) Has anyone adjusted the latches to tighten the gap?

It was inside the muffler. I cut it open after i deleted it

Ok, Just a quick update. I lowered the front a little more, and re drilled my flip brackets to restore the 126.8" wheelbase. Done for now

I can never leave anything alone. This is what was in my 2020 Ranger. It had a light spring that allowed the flapper to open. Probably not a bad system.

Alan. It depends on how much weight you plan on towing or hauling (i'm not planing on much) I replaced the bumper stops with smaller ones so i still have at least 4" They make rear shackles now that will bring it back up an inch or so. Thanks Kevin. Still work in progress.

Thanks for pointing that out SOHK. I will look into the rear wheel location. I forgot all about that when fabricating.

Yes, The front is a tad high still. Working on that. Rear axle flip with shorter shocks. I cut the strut coils for now to see what happens. No issues yet. I will replace them when Belltech comes out with some lowering struts. It's not perfect yet, but a lot better than driving...
