I'd be buying the Maverick now, before the economy tanks, with all these tariffs about to happen. And I'd be keeping the Taco!
Good point - more specifically, there’s enough Canadian steel, aluminum and parts assemblies in U.S. built cars that they would definitely have an impact on auto prices. The gas mileage of that hybrid is even more attractive as U.S. gas prices are sure to rise.

I'm so sorry, that was a sneeze.
There was one of the Black Mustangs in the show room OMG that thing was awesome. Dark blue with orange peel color. Outside on a sunny day that probably looked killer.

I would keep the Taco but do I really need three vehicles and a motorcycle? Registration, tags and insurance would be a killer and actually is now days even with a clean record. A couple more pictures I took last fall.

You have a 4 door Ranger, and a beautiful older Toyo that's paid for. Any fuel savings you may get with a hy-bred Mavrick will be waaaayyyyy ofset by payments, higher insurance, extended warranty purchase, add-on mods, ect.
Just seems like you want to get something new...
I'm truly sorry that I sold my 2009 Ranger when I bought the new 2021, but I NEEDED the new one to tow our travel trailer, so the need was there. I could afford to keep the 2009, but like an idiot, sold it....wish I could go back 4 years and re-think the sale,,,,,

Steve, One of the main things I am thinking of is a retirement car with great mileage. The Maverick is a truck also so I can still get my stuff at HD when I need it. I am going to pay cash for it as I don't want any payments. Plus I will eventually sell the Ranger due to getting old and not needing it to tow my tent trailer. That's 10+ years from now. Still working for a year and a half. Steve that's a great looking old Ranger for sure!!! I have grown to really love my Ranger.

We got 3 vehicles, wife’s Subaru my Ranger and a 97 BMW M3 that’s been in the family for years. I tried to talk the wife into a more luxurious road car or SUV but she wasn’t interested.
Can’t part with the M3 so I’ll probably upgrade to F150 Platinum or the like.

I sold my motorcycles and got out of the sport since I don’t bounce off the pavement like I used to and too many drivers are distracted.
So I hear ya on too many vehicles.

Ford's hybrid system has proved pretty reliable, mainly because it's modeled after Toyota's Synergy system. The fact that you have a Toyota pickup that buyers will lust for, I'd sell it now for top dollar before the economy crashes.
I think the Maverick hybrid will prove more reliable than the Ecoboost 5g Ranger (speaking as an owner who's about to get a new turbo under warranty).

Insurance, tags, taxes, and repairs are all more expensive on the Maverick vs the Taco. You can purchase a lot of gas with the $35K - $40K price of new Maverick.

Bottomline, forget about logic if you want the Maverick, just go buy.

My wife loves her 2022 Maverick Lariat Hybrid she got a couple of years ago. The only issue was a cooling pump failure for the high voltage battery. There were a few problems on initial release for some but it looks like they addressed them for later models. I like that green..

2025 has a larger screen like 13.5" which is nice I think? I wish it was angled forward just a bit as I am 6'1" tall but I just did a test drive and haven't had any real time in the truck. I think it would be a great retirement truck for me. I will keep the Ranger another 10+ years for towing and off roading.

Yes that is more than my Lariat Ranger cost but they are giving me X plan pricing. I am not getting the Lariat or the Tremor. The tremor looks pretty cool.

Nice screen update, if tilted forward more I think sun glare would be an issue. They are a nice little truck, surprisingly peppy. The hybrid sport mode try’s to act like it’s shifting ? maybe different on 2025 models.
