MAP adding 3rd shift.....

Detroit Free Press reporting MAP is adding a 3rd shift (while eliminating a shift at Rouge Lightning plant).

" Approximately 700 employees will transfer to Ford's Michigan assembly plant..."

"Ford also said Friday that it's creating almost 900 new jobs and adding a third crew at its Michigan assembly plant to meet demand for the Bronco and Bronco Raptor and the all-new Ranger and Ranger Raptor."

Might mean more (some) Ranger production.

If I had sixty grand to spend on a midsize truck I'd want the Raptor. I'd never use it to it's potential except to collect speeding tickets.

But I'd sure like that heated steering wheel.

This is good to hear. Ford has been struggling to build Rangers and Broncos for years. I think a lot of unfilled orders should be filled with this increase in production. Maybe we will start to see Rangers on the dealers lots again.

I will believe it when I see it...... I hope you are correct, but I fear not much is going to change. I think they just want to build more Broncos - or maybe more Ranger Raptors.
