@Hounddog409 Looks good. Thanks for confirming I am not the only one crazy enough to think... 'Do I really need to take all this stuff off if it just slips in where it needs to go?'

Now I’m considering putting some 1/4” mesh behind the upper grill to keep the intercooler from getting dinged up

Maybe it’s different if you got the acc module. (Shrug)....

Installed my putco lower grill guard today.

I do not have a front plate, but the dealer had put the bracket bolts in the glove box. No clue where the 10mm comes from. Takes 6mm socket. See pic for part number

More important, install took less than 10 minutes. Not having the adaptive cruise, NOTHING has to be removed to install. Almost too easy to install.
I can confirm, mine and the lower fascia bolts were all 10mm... like I said elsewhere. Manufacturererererer inconsistancies. ?

Nope, all same... who cares really. I don't crawl under there without a whole set of sockets anyway. Getting too old for up and down crap... :bandit:

Those are the ones to mount the license plate itself, not the bracket.

Apparently not. Perfect fit. I mean i did use them to install the grill.
I was just meaning that’s the reason for the hex size difference. That’s good that they worked for you but they are definitely intended to mount the plate itself.

I built my own - I still have to figure how to secure it better - I’m thinking maybe those clips similar used to mount mud flaps, but I just bought a generic piece of honeycomb grill, measured the opening and used some door edge guard to trim the sides, I think it came out ok....

This addresses one of the appearance issues I have with the Ranger front end like the mishmash of grill design being open/solid/odd patterns and that set of slits in the steel bumper... Shades of SportTrac towards the end. So I've ordered one of these Putco screens too. >sigh<

I ordered a 20" light bar to fill the gap. It was less than the piece of grill

After looking at my lower radiator after only 6K miles, I realized that this should have been the very first mod I ever made. I took the extra step of putting heavy stainless steel screen behind it for added protection.
