I got a knee scooter I get around on , I don't see Dr. until 27th to get stitches out, it hurts if I don't have it elevated but the oxy's knock that out so not to bad , I imagine my pain will be in 3 months when Im supposed to start putting weight on it....Hey OP, so how ya doin' now after the surgery? Hurt? Hopefully that is manageable.
Also, are you allowed to hobble around on crutches anything? Or are you relegated to sitting on your ass other than bathroom breaks etc?
Reminds me of those "99 tools for $9.99!!" socket sets that sometimes included a 25/64 1/4 in drive socket. The ratchets would have about 16 clicks with a lot of dead free space, and the vacuum cladded nickel outer surface would peel away after a few uses. Can just visualize the surgeon about mid-operation:

I'm glad that you are making progress on your recovery. I believe I would let the Ranger stay dirty for a bit longer...Went to Dr. today and finally got this giant foot unwrapped and stitches removed , I'll spare you the pics but Dr. was happy with it , still 3 months of no weight on it so I just ordered one of these ...

Looks like you can go up and down stairs and maybe I can even wash the Ranger !
I get to be a piratefor a few months !
Had a torsional break in my left femur back in 2009. I slippedt on a wet, oily truck stop fueling island climbing out of my truck. I had stepped down onto the slippery surface with my right leg, while letting go of the right cab grab bar. I lost my balance and spun around but my left cleated work boot got stuck in the expanded metal step tread and my left leg remained stationary. <SNAP!> My error. I neglected to make 3 points of contact while only on one foot: 1 foot two hands, or 2 feet one hand minimum. I don'n know what your circumstances were, @NotBudule, but I hope there wasn't an error in procedure in whatever you were doing.Went to Dr. today and finally got this giant foot unwrapped and stitches removed , I'll spare you the pics but Dr. was happy with it , still 3 months of no weight on it so I just ordered one of these ...

Glad your mobile again. Hire someone to wash your truck, the neighbor kids need cash....Well the Iwalk 3.0 got here today and within 5 minutes of assembly I have been up and down every set of steps in my house, it's a quad level so 2 sets of 4 steps and one set of 12 steps , this thing is a game changer , knee scooter is nice but getting both hands back is awesome, too cold out to go wash the Ranger but I'm watching the forecast...
Bonus, you get to pay them in those giant chocolate gold-wrapped coins, and pretend that you're paying them in doubloons!Glad your mobile again. Hire someone to wash your truck, the neighbor kids need cash....
