If you're transporting it on the trailer you could use a large cargo bungee. I use to use a smaller version on my motorcycle when we'd go on week long trips to hold down my duffle bag and other stuff. They work well and stretch out far and might work for the trailer. This one here is 82" x 59' and only $36.00. It's too bad the Ranger didn't have steak pockets on-top of the bed rails then you could've put the raft on the tonneau cover and secured it there.

Here's a larger one on Amazon that is 5' x 7' and stretches out to 10' x 14'

I'll have to take a pic and post it when I get the inflatable raft out in May - I have a tonneau cover on the bed that supports the raft - 5' of it, but the raft is 10' 8" , the bed extender goes out 3' so the majority of the raft will be on the tonneau over the bed and the bed extender, placing the raft on it's side along the bed makes it manageable to flip onto the tonneau and extender. A lot of my fishing is done with my wife who doesn't do a great job handling fish on the line and unhooking them, so the raft with the aluminum floor allows us to switch positions front to rear . Now the raft and all it's accessories - floor, oars, trolling motor, LiFePo4 battery and life jacket - all mfg in China, most of these rafts are made there. But appreciate the suggestion.

This doesn’t help you, but i think my first boat (besides recreational kayaks) will be a Porta-Bote. 12’ is likey lighter than a Zodiak and has much more room than a same length inflatable. Folds flat and pretty quickly assembles. Planes on a 5hp outboard. Rows decently, unlike an inflatable. Cheaper brand new than a Zodiac or similar. I see a lot strapped to the sides of RVs or on roof racks. If I was looking for portability, I’d go Porta Bote, l

This person is obviously not worried about Hydrolocking the engine or flooding the RV. JMO
