Howdy,

I am looking for a good solution to mount a winch on my 2019 Ranger Lariat. It’s finally paid off and now I can afford to begin upgrading. I have already ordered (awaiting arrival) of the Ford Performance Pack Tune. I really like the look of stock bumper and don’t love the idea of a bulky steel aftermarket bumpers. It seems that the 589 Fabrication hidden winch mount is really nice but they seem a little pricey and are currently unavailable.

Does anyone know of a better/cheaper solution to mount a winch in the gap inside the bumper?

I appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

2” level kit
Icon Alloys 17” Wheels
Falken Wildpeak AT3W 285/70r17
BakFlip MX4
SwingCase
LineX Bedliner

If you don't want to change out the bumper, the 589 or custom are your only options. If you have fab skills, I know a few guys have used the Harbor Freight winch plate and fabbed up a way to mount it between the frame rails.

Depending on how frequently you intend to use the winch, you might look at a hitch mounted option. I've had that for a couple of years now, and even installed a front mounted hitch receiver from our own @Heavy Duty . This allows me to keep the winch in the bed and install it up front or in the rear depending on what I need. I've only used it once, but it works really well.

This is excactly what I am doing. Just have to weld up the kit from heavy duty. If you are the one that posted this. Thank you for the idea.

@Heavy Duty if I order your pre cut kits, can a local fabricator adjust the center of the hitch to account for the ACC?

Absolutely! That's how I designed this hitch. The center of the reciever tube can be offset one side or the other....some have requested both. The hitch is also designed to be installed without removing the bumper.

Hope that helps!
