Great pics, Frank!
Thanks. It was a great drive. Didn't go anywhere that would require recovery, but did get to test the TM and TC, for a short bit.

Nice. So great to be able to camp right there!

I was in Laguna on a bicycle trip from San Diego to Santa Monica along the PCH. IIRC, there was a Ruby’s Diner there and the menu included a “Duke Burger”.
Ruby's is pretty good. If you get to San Clemente next time try Molly Blooms Irish Pub.

You recall correctly! Bet it was a great bike ride!

Awesome. How do you like the Rpod?
For a “lower price range” trailer, it has really worked great! Bought it in ‘17 and put about 12k miles on it, mostly up and done the coast. Want to do cross country some day!

Did a ton of 4wheeling and primitive tent camping prior, but wifey loves the Glamping.

It was! There was something new to see at every turn; La Jolla, Torrey Pines, Camp Pendleton (watch for tanks), San Onofre Power Plant, Dana Point, Queen Mary, Palos Verdes, Venice Beach, Santa Monica Pier. So much to see and near the end, I realized I was riding on the same bike path we see in the opening of Three’s Company. Only, I didn’t crash in the sand. :D

Hi Duke,

Margie and I did the entire PCH in our RV.....60ft long. It was a challenge but the road is eye candy every where you look. We started south of San Diego and intersected HY 101 in northern California. Big Sur is wonderful, but pales by comparison to the scenery of PCH north of San Francisco.

I had one slight incident where I dropped a right rear wheel off the road and pranged the coach lower side trim....took a while to unding it but well worth it for the trip. However, Margie said "never again". The view through a 5ft high 8ft wide piece of glass above the tops of automobiles was wonderful.

Best,
Phil

It really is awesome Phil.

Funniest thing on that trip was when I stopped by the sign for Newport Beach at a turnoff. A car went by on the highway and then stopped, then it started backing up along the highway and into the exit lane (crazy maneuver). The passenger had her head out the window and was waving her arm trying to get my attention.

I thought they were going to ask me for directions - being from Vancouver, I wondered how the heck could I be any help.

It turned out to be my brother and his wife, on vacation from Edmonton. ?

Sounded just like an everyday CA driver. You're lucky. :whew:

I happened to catch a Nissan Frontier Pro4X, out in the wild today. They are smaller than they look.

I'm in the minority but I like the high bed sides on the Ranger...makes it look beefy...
