I love my Falken Wildpeaks, which are made by a Japanese company with long experience and a great reputation, so it is not really a question of U.S. vs. overseas when it comes to quality alone. But I feel safer with the larger international or American brands, as their products are regularly rated and tested over here. Still, getting the Ling Lings "free" so to speak is a pretty good incentive to try them out...
I was under the impression Falkens were a subsidary of Goodyear, made in U.S.A?
Did not know that, they seem like a great tire that gets great reviews. I would trust Japan made items over any china stuff for sure. Not a fan of chinese stuff for a variety of reasons. When i got these tires i was under the impression they were made in R.O.K. I will be more careful in the future!

Here is the link to the Falken Tire site FYI (I have no relationship with the company, just love their tires...): ABOUT | FALKEN Global Website

as much as i do not wanna admit it, some pretty good tires are made overseas. i try to avoid china tires. but, ive had some good tires from thailand japan singapore and india...
its all in the details.
i say if they are still in good shape maybe keep them as spares at least.
Tires are made all over the world regardless of the home country of the brand.

The General Grabber ATx on my Tremor were made in the US but the General G-Max on my Mustang we're made in Romania. The Bridgestone Duelers on my wife's Jeep were made in Mexico.

Goodyear makes tires in 23 different countries including China.

Without actually looking at the tire you have no idea where they were made. Ling Long makes tires in Thailand and Serbia as well as China.

I found these lyrics on the Internet.

The Campptown ladies sing this song,
Ling-long
The Camptown racetrack’s five miles long
Oh, Ling-long day
Goin’ to run all night
Goin’ to run all day
I bet my money on a bob-tailed nag
Somebody bet on the gray
Oh, the long tailed filly and the big black horse,
Ling-long
Come to a mud hole and they all cut across,
Oh, Ling-long day
Goin’ to run all night
Goin’ to run all day
I bet my money on a bob-tailed nag
Somebody bet on the gray
I went down there with my hat caved in,
Ling-long
I came back home with a pocket full of tin
Oh, Ling-long day
Goin’ to run all night
Goin’ to run all day
I bet my money on a bob-tailed nag
Somebody bet on the gray

No need to twist it into place.

These tires were already mentioned in Ministry's "Jesus Built my Hotrod."

"All of a sudden, I found myself in love with the world
So there was only one thing that I could do
Was ding a ding dang my dang a long ling long."

I have a set of 265/70/17 Linglong all terrains i pulled off my old beater Avalanche before she went to the great scrapyard in the sky. They only have about 10k on them, lot of tread left and in great shape. Thinking about throwing them on the ranger and using them up. Anyone ever run these tires, and what are your thoughts on them. I don't off road, but do use rough forest service roads when out hunting and fishing. They were fine on the Avalanche, so i suppose they would be ok on the ranger? Thanks in advance for any input.
I never heard of that brand before, I thought for a sec it's a name of a person.
