One of those pre-lit artificial trees, because I like it simple. 300-somethings hanging off it because my girlfriend likes it better that way. Still has fewer lights than some member’s trucks.

I'm glad to see we're not the only one who has a star that doesn't actually work at the top of the tree! You'd think it would be easy to make something supportive at top dead center to hold a freaking star...

Even though we are literally surrounded by Christmas tree farms, with the ridiculous prices for real trees this year (probably 3x what they were last year), we decided to go out into the national forest and get a tree this year. Only $5. Not nearly as full as a "cultured" tree (sheared every year), but I kind of like it:

Next year my wife says she wants an artificial tree - not only due to the cost, but also so she can keep the tree up longer.

Being allergic to real trees I've had an artificial tree most of my life. It's a lot less messy and super easy to put up, ours has the lights pre-strung too.

One thing I'll never figure out is how to get the darn thing back into the box. It never seems to fit right or close so now we take the ornaments off and leave it together in the corner of the spare bed room. lol It's like Chinese food. You have all these leftovers and they somehow stuff it in a small carton but if you try and do it it'll never fit. ?

I do like the tree smell minus the allergies. You're in luck, they do have Christmas tree scented candles. ?

When we switched to an artificial tree a couple years ago I bought a 2 ft wide roll of shrink wrap. Just keep going round and round until it's the size you want. The branches on ours hinge up so it squishes down good.

Good idea Ed I'll try that this year. Funny, in all these years it never dawned on me to try that.
