So some sort of panel to cover the blank area? Or a compartment or some sort?
Pretty much just a panel cover that hides the area and the catch can to an extent.
Like, I want to get rid of the "Oh look at that catch can sitting there in a weird spot" look.

if I had your equipment, I'd have a set up where the panel covers it but there's an opening so I can access the dipstick.

Though at this point I'm not totally motivated to conceal it. Hell if I can have a panel that "wraps" around the can just so it doesn't look so oddly empty between the battery and headlight assembly.

In a past life I would have loved to have available the 3D printing we have now. As I've gotten older, er, I really don't care. Of course, 40 years ago there was a lot of stuff that needed fixin.... now, not so much. UNLESS you have a 3D Printer!

Nice that this stuff is available, but I'm good. Carry on.

I get it! For me, the printing I've done has been mostly improvements on products, customizing things, and ground up design...less as a device to replace broken components, though obviously that's another huge use. Printing has come a long way, and in the past it the value wasn't as high in terms of time invested vs the part produced. My current printer is one of the fastest on the market, meaning I can iterate so much faster than I used to be able to, not to mention improvements in print quality. Cheers!

I gotcha, I'll pm you to continue the discussion

Phil - as a frame of reference, my brother had a similar surgery and now has a bag that needs to be emptied every 2 or 3 hours. He can do it in a bathroom and it is normally not messy. I don't really know any details on it, but it seems like it should be doable. He has a relatively normal life, even after that surgery. He has had it for a few years now.
Hi Rob,

My buddy is a Glass is Half Full guy, and he was quite glum after the "practice runs". Good he has a supportive wife to help develop a good technique. Sad to hear your brother had such an operation.

Best,
Phil

I'd like to see what you come up with concerning the upfitter switch holder.

Hi Kevin,

How small can you print??? Here is a back story. Yesterday, my good friend and neighbor had to have his bladder and prostate removed...the doctor then rerouted his kidney output via a tube to an external bag which he will have to wear and change out frequently in a relative messy operation that at this juncture must occur in a shower. What I would like to "invent" is a system like NASCAR, IndyCar and Trans Am etc have for race refueling called a dry break system, so I am thinking of some similar system such that a bag change is "dry". This idea just came to me last night and not having seen the bags and the port in his right side, I am not sure how small these parts would be. It will be 3 to 4 months before he recovers from this surgery and tries to resume a "normal" life as much as possible.

Thanks,
Phil

Have your friend look into https://stomaplex.com/. This is what I use for the protection of the stoma.
I went back to my construction job after 3 months with no issues. Also I just sit in a chair to change my bag.

I'm curious too. I made my own version of the Stedi switch mount that goes between the 12v power ports but later binned that off.
I wish i would have the STL file for the stedi "filler" parts, I would put an angle part on it and stick my remote to it.
