One thing I don't like about the Ford liner is the put that Ford logo wart on the front wall - I see that eventually getting crushed, as I assume its a hollow piece of plastic. Not a bad idea to add the logo, but why did they make it stick out so far!?
And that's a great point. When hauling a big stack of lumber that logo is what the load is pushing against. Kind of wonky of Ford to place it where they did.

It might be overkill, but I went with a line-x and a bed mat. I don't have any sort of worry when hauling stuff in my truck. Between dropping things or scratches, I feel pretty set.

Plus line-x has a lifetime warranty anywhere you go, at any dealer.

As far as cleaning, this bed had a load of mulch in it 1 hour before I took this picture. 1 min with a broom and 30 seconds with a leaf blower and it is good to go.

I personally went with Line-X. When I was looking at the Ranger I was going to buy, I seriously thought about Ford's spray in bedliner. And then I saw this video:

I did not want a drop in bed liner because it will cause rust and other issues as it may trap water between the bed and the plastic.

But whatever a person decides, there is not a judgement on my part and you should not worry about what others may say. Make your decision based on your needs.
That's crazy right there! Not sure I would rip out a perfectly good bed liner to change brands. Pretty sure if it was already there I'd live with it. But to each his own......
