Anybody else trust the Mad Scientist from VP racing? This stuff if giggles (and seriously probably cancer too) in a CAN. Anybody know what's the maximum octane the stock tune will benefit from? My purely unscientific testing suggests not much of anything to me except my grin is becoming permanent, just like the Mad Scientist himself, as long I pour half a can in with every Shell 93 fill up.

Would be good to check if this has MMT in it. I did a quick search and could not find information

MMT is not for our motors per the Manual. Can cause buildup

I was looking into octane boosters pretty heavily before I decided to stay away and mix some E85 with each tank instead. Cheaper, cleaner

We used to use Toluene back in the day. I could get a 4 gallon case from the paint store. I remember reading certain additives were a NoNo, but this one *promises* to be friendly to cats and 02 sensors. Can't find what's in it but there's probably an MSDS in existence.

Mostly I was wondering if we knew the maximum octane the stock tune will adjust for? Happy trucking!

In high enough concentrations MMT can clog the passageways in the catalytic converter as well as coat the OS sensor probes causing them to report back with incorrect readings. It'd take a few years for it to do this but better off to avoid it in the first place.
