Instrument Cluster Color

Has anyone tried changing the blue color on the dash or center counsel to a different color? I've been seeing pictures of the new Raptor and the dash is all orange and I love it. I see the needles on mine are blue and that is OK, but if I could change the rest of the bulbs to orange that would be cool.

It all depends on if the color is created by the gauge needles or lights in the cluster. If you are wanting to just change the color of the numbers on the gauge face from white to another color I have seen mods in the past where people opened the cluster up and attached theater lighting gels behind the numbers on the back side of the overlay sheet. This works very well if the LED's are white. The gauge needles themselves usually have colored plastic in them or a colored LED at the base that produces the specific color. The hard part in doing this mod is in most cases you will need to remove the gauge needle(s) so the panel overlay sheet can be removed to apply the gels. I don't know how Ford has attached the needles on their current generation of clusters. Some are just pressed on where others use a set screw. If they are just pressed on you would want to use low tac tape to mark the needle positions before pulling them off to properly index them when reinstalling. It may be worth going to a self service wrecking yard to pull a cluster out of a late model Ford with a similarly designed unit to open it up and practice on it before pulling yours out. If the needle color is set by the plastic insert, you might be able to pull needles out of a different model car that has a different color and swap them out with yours provided they are the same length since it is highly likely that the needle posts are the same components.
