My Ranger has been listed as “in production” since September 27th. It had an estimated delivery of November 11th, but has been pushed back multiple times. I had also ordered a Maverick, and it was only in production for 3 days before waiting to ship for 4 days, and then finally shipping.

So what gives? Is this normal behavior for a Ranger order? Should I expect to not get my Ranger for awhile?

Well the Rangers are built at the same facility as the Bronco, and I know that Ford has really screwed up the Bronco launch big time, and they are trying to play catch up and crank out as many Broncos as possible right now. My guess is the ratio of Broncos to Rangers being built right now is heavily skewed to Bronco, and this is probably why your Ranger build is delayed.

As stated, it is probably built and parked...waiting for a missing part. This was typical in the Bronco launch....other manufacturers are having the same issues. Building thousands of vehicles and staging them anywhere they can waiting for parts. Heck....we have had the same issues with refrigerator repairs, getting a new AC unit for the house and Costco here has had no toilet paper for 3 weeks+. A sign of the times....
