Yep. And the 6G forum will be full of "OMFG the transmission!" threads.

Along with all of the threads complaining about Ford deliberately designing/building inferior trucks.
Who knows? The 6G will be getting a different trans. It will be the 10R60, not 10R80. I guess we can look at the Bronco forum to see how those are holding up.

theyve been doing that for decades. I believe they call it the "one ford" initiative. they deliberately carry over styling cues from one model line to another.
Yeah I’ve noticed it on the cars in the 2000’s to mid 2010’s (focus&fiesta, fusion&taurus) but did not know it was called that. iI never bothered me until they started doing it with vehicles of such different proportions like the maverick and ranger. Other brands do it as well (Lexus and bmw) but imo they are more visually distinct and striking then the route ford has taken.

I've watched some of the reviews and although I still like the 5G style I don't think the new truck is ugly
I've seen a few comments in those reviews that said in photos it didn't look good, but in person it looked a lot better.

Still sticking with my 5G until/if they come out with a plugin hybrid.

One thing that did sound nice on the 6G is the trailer backup assist - I'm horrible at backing up trailers (don't do it enough), and something like that would be AWESOME - plus it has an integrated brake controller as well.

I ordered a 6g Iconic Silver Metallic, Build date May 5th…I hope it’s not ugly. I bought it for my wife.
Iconic Silver is the best color for our Rangers! Just stating a fact!

My 2021 has been totally trouble free, I have it equipped with mod's to help towing, it's the best color....Iconic Silver, it's a Scab, it's still low mileage (retired and use it for a daily driver and towing), and it's paid for. Pretty much a perfect truck for me.
Why would I want to get a new Ranger ?

Only one color is "carbonized " , making it THE Proper color đź‘Ś, sorry to all that have uncarbonized colors...
That "carbonized" gray is just a different shade of Iconic Silver....so I'll give it a pass. It is tasteful, unlike that "Screaming Orange" Saber....
At least the Iconic Silver and Carbonized Gray look like, when they pass you at speed, look like a "Silver Thunderbolt", unlike the "Orange Blob" Saber !!!!:crackup::crackup:
One good thing about the Saber color....it's easy to find in a parking lot !!!!
When I see one, it's also a good reminder to have a glass of OJ when I get home !!!!
