so i had stock shocks on for about 6 months when i got the truck in 21, had around 4k on the truck. I have had eibach 2.0 on there for the last 22k(have 26k on the truck now).

front is set to 2” (23.25 hub/fender)
rear has icons option 1 (24.75 hub to fender)

rear rides how you would expect- nicely.

Now my gripe- the original shocks were not that bad, def not great. the lack of rebound was the issue. on the road they were nice and soft.
The eibachs are more controlled , but im getting tired of the digressive valving. the stiffness on small bumps gets old.
also- i did notice that they pushed the ass end of my truck up nearly a half inch! i thought it was BS, so i disconnected them and rear settled .5” lower, about where icon says their leafs should be at ride height wise. (must be the high pressure in them) weird stuff.

so, i want something soft, similar to stock but with actual rebound. i’m leaning to fox as they are linear valved so on paper that tells me they should be soft. are they as high of pressure as eibachs?

A local buddy has the Fox 2.0 and the ride is really nice. I haven't traveled long distances with him, but around town is good.

You could also look at the OME SD kit for the front and rear. I have the HD kit on the front of mine, because I have the bumper/winch, but it rides really smooth.

I've got Bilstien 5100s on the back of my FX4. Have had them almost 3 years and like them alot. I don’t find the ride too hard just more controlled. Didn’t measure to check hight change, but don't believe it did. Agree the OEM lacked damping. Still have the OEM on front. Don’t off road, but tow a camper.

I'm sure others will have different opinions, this is mine.

so i was looking at them too actually. i would just order the shocks though since i got icon springs.
do they offer different spring heights like they do for the taco? i haven’t found anything.

also looked at ironman and dobinsons.

If you're referring to the rear shocks, then yeah they would be fine with the Icon springs.

Can confirm that the Fox 2.0 are a very nice riding setup. They're great around town, long highway trips, and they excel on dirt roads / forest roads, especially once a few PSI are let out of the tires. My only complaint is in regards to the stock rear springs, so those are on my shortlist to swap out. If you already have an Icon leaf pack, I think you'll be very happy with the Fox setup.

Are you talking Icon rear leafs? I have those with the OME front and rear.

I looked at Dobinsons, but I have seen absolutely no one who has run them and I don't like being the guinea pig on things that expensive. Ironman must be relatively new, as I haven't heard of them during my research.

what was your total lift up front with the ome nitro chargers? i’m looking for 2” or less.

I came from the Eibach Pro 2.0 kit, so I couldn't really tell you that. I believe its supposed to give 2.5".
that’s right we had the same set up for a bit - eibach 2.0s with icon leafs

i guess fox is the move.

strangely- i pulled my stock fx4 shocks out of the attic- both fronts had a dribble of oil off them! only 4k!

Fox would most likely be the softwst from what research I’ve done. Next Friday I should have the Bilsteins 5100 in all 4 corners and the global rear leaf springs installed so I can report back on how the ride compares. I have a stock 4x4 non fx4 and felt the ride is harsh over roads with small imperfections. I’m hoping the rear leaf springs will help with that and the Bilstein shocks will allow for a bit more controlled ride. My initial impression of this truck was that the leaf springs were too stiff (at low compression) and the shocks were under damped.
