Ranger production for February 2019 = 9,890

I believe the goal is 400 per day.

Thanks
My daily tracking of my truck has turned into an obsessional ok I admitted it
My local dealer,s newest Rangers are 17,000
Lower than mine. They got them about a week ago so my May 5 delivery date seems about right

Meanwhile a dealer by me has had 4 of them sitting on the lot in front of the building. #Detroit :)

They don't produce the trucks in VIN order, so looking solely at the VIN isn't a good metric. If I'm interpreting what you wrote correctly

They don't build them in VIN order so unfortunately this is not a great metric.

edit: welp, guess I should have read the rest of the thread before replying because @RedlandRanger beat me to the punch.

If the assembly line is seamless, a truck should roll of the line about every 52-58 seconds. Multiply that by 2 (2 shifts) and you have your daily production number.

400 a day per shift is a good estimate, but below the expected threshold.

from a thread on Blue Oval Forums "Ranger production February 2019 =9,890" divided by 23 work days equals 430 per 10.5 hour shift average. In February they ran 6 days a week (minus Sundays and holiday) at 10.5 hours a day. Body shop has two shifts because the paint robots were made to paint the old Focus and take twice as long to paint the Ranger body. Even though they come off the line at a pretty good rate, from start to finish of the blend date it still takes between 18 to 20 hours to complete a build, again that was also from a Blue Oval thread. They were producing at a 20 to 80 ratio of Super Cab to Super Crew versions in February. Goal was to get around 520 per shift. Now it seems there is a part/component shortage on some stuff so that is another sticking point, but that one is across a bunch of Ford products due in part to trade wars with a few different countries and worker strikes in other countries. The pain of a Global economy!
