Not a joke but an interesting video.

I'd take the Ford...

There's one of these on Tic Toc of trucks an suv's. I hope my bronco is never crushed by an 80,000 concrete mixer against a 3 foot thick concrete wall. I'm assuming that's low percentage though.

the volvo, ford and benz did really well. wasnt surprised by the volvo. the bmw was terrible, like it was never a car to begin with...
The BMW folded up like a Bud Light can.

Only the Ford looked like you could have potentially opened the door and stepped out after the crash.

Nice cartoon.
  • The Fiberglass hood of the Peterbilt 389, held in place with two rubber straps, never even moved
  • In the crash with the Land Rover Defender & BMW, the Pete comes off the ground, but there is no suspension sag.
  • There is no flying debris in any of the crashes; bumper caps, plastic shrapnel, windshields, one-piece grille/headlight assemblies (like Ford Explorer) etc.
  • Imitation radiator steam
  • I'd like to see the crane that placed that ~4ft thick X 33 ft wide by 12-13 ft high concrete barrier.
At best, this is a computer simulation of probable deformation of the SUV's
in a full head on collision.
Or demonstration of just how indestructable Petes are!

The WWE is more realistic than these "crashes"

Yup.

Here's a fine example of how fragile the hood and the cab is.

There is a video game out there called BeamNG Drive that lets you simulate crashes like that.

Learned a new thing today.

Wine barrels are the shape they are not due to their manufacturing process. Instead the manufacturing process was done to accommodate the shapes auto-aligning function on a suspended track for easy transportation.

Wonder what the yard looks with a track..
