Looks good; I used the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Ceramic Spray Coating and it did quite well. I had heard that the ceramic sprays do not allow the truck to hold dirt and so stay clean and while that is somewhat true...there are dust particles that remain after a rain drive with the Turtle Wax. I too love the look of the ceramic on the Hot Pepper Red.

I use the Turtle Wax Ceramic Wet Wax when I dry as well and it is amazing for its price. I just had this Opti-Seal for so long, that I thought I'd give it a go. BTW, looking good!?

Actually, I understood they quit making the HPR's after the 2019 model year.
Yes Ford did stop offering the Hot Pepper after 2019. Good news for all of us with one from 2019, we won’t see thousands that look like ours.:sunglasses:

Bought my Ranger a year ago today. While the new car charm has worn off (it happens), I don't regret purchasing, and am still enjoying it a lot!

Love the HPR, and this is officially the fewest number of annual miles I've ever put on a daily driver (typically ~25k/year), but plan to add about 4k with an upcoming trip in July.

PincrestJim is right. You really need to see it in full sun light. I bought it off the lot instead of waiting for the white one I ordered because it reminded me of my first car: 1975 VW Scirocco in Mars Red! (Man, did I get in trouble with that one and the 4 following....)

just remember that you monitor or screen will display the colour differently unless it has been set to true Pantone colours.
it will be close but not exact.
How do you set Pantone Colours? Is that a monitor setting or graphics card?

Thanks to bbutah in the Saber thread for linking, I ordered the orange truck for wife's bday . I think it looks more like HPR in full sun.

For anyone interested....
I found a "Special Edition" 1/27th scale die cast model in "Saber" color:

OK.... while not actually Saber (a bit more orange) I think it's close enough for a toy, right?

A few more shots:

The detail attention and build is remarkably good for $14.49; It is a Lariat with FX4, but doesn't have the Sport Package and all my mods.... yet!

I got it here if interested:

Fast shipping and the packaging was excellent!
Cheers!

Last time I worried about it (close to 20 years ago) it was a special monitor for graphic designers.

the comment was more to point out that each monitor displays could a bit differently.

this is true.
Photographers who edit their photos are also anal about this.
A friend who shoots professionally has a special monitor and follows a daily regime before photo editing starts to ensure the colors are to a set standard.

its all greek to me.

who remembers the shoes??? (and countless others)
